Okay, so I’ve been seeing a ton of buzz about NBA 2K25 lately, and the biggest question everyone’s asking is: “Will it finally be crossplay?” I decided to dig in and see what I could find out. Honestly, I’m a huge fan of the series, and I’ve been waiting forever to play with my friends on other platforms.
I started by hitting up the usual spots – the official NBA 2K website, 2K’s social media, and some gaming news sites. I scoured through everything, looking for any official announcement or hint.
Sadly, there’s still no concrete “yes” or “no” from 2K. Bummer, I know. I was really hoping for a big reveal, but it seems like they’re keeping things under wraps for now.
My Hunting Journey
- First, I spent about an hour just reading through forums and Reddit threads. Lots of speculation, some supposed “leaks,” but nothing solid. It’s mostly just wishful thinking from other players.
- Then, I looked at the history of the NBA 2K series. They haven’t done crossplay before, which doesn’t give me much hope, BUT the gaming industry is definitely moving in that direction.
- I also checked out what other sports games are doing. Many major titles like “MLB The Show” and games are now fully equipped with the crossplay function. Seeing that made me a little more optimistic. 2k is gonna lost a lot of users if they don’t add this feature.
- Watched a bunch of YouTube videos from 2K content creators. They’re basically in the same boat as me – hoping for it, but no real info.
So, after all that digging, what’s the verdict? It’s a big “maybe.” I am so exciting for it! I’ll keep checking for updates, and, crossed fingers, they’ll give the players that want it, but without an official confirmation.
