Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “who’s the best PG in the NBA” debate raging everywhere online, and I figured, why not throw my hat in the ring? But instead of just yelling my opinion, I decided to, you know, actually look at some stuff.
My Deep Dive (Kind Of)
First, I jumped onto the internet, obviously. I started with the basics, checking players list from different websites.
Then I dug into player stats. Points, assists, rebounds… all that good stuff. I even tried to look at some “advanced” stats, win shares.

The Messy Middle
Honestly, it got overwhelming pretty fast. So many numbers! It was like swimming in spreadsheets. I started making my own little charts, trying to compare players.
- Steph Curry: Obviously, a scoring machine. The shooting is just insane.
- Luka Doncic: Dude’s a walking triple-double. Can do it all.
- Ja Morant: Explosive! So fun to watch, and he’s only getting better.
- Damian Lillard: Ice in his veins. Clutch shots for days.
I spent hours on this, I am not even kidding. My wife thought I was going crazy. I had papers and notes everywhere. My process was messy, no doubt about it.
The “A-Ha!” Moment (Sort Of)
After all this “research,” did I come to a definitive conclusion? Nope! It’s still tough! But, I did realize something.
It all depends on what you want! If you need all-around, you can select Luka. If you need a pure scorer, Steph is your guy. If you want to get highlight, pick Ja.
So, yeah, that’s my journey. Still no single “best” PG, but I definitely appreciate the different styles and strengths a lot more now. It’s a good reminder that there’s no easy answer, even in basketball!
