Okay, so I’ve been thinking about getting F1 TV for a while, you know, to really get into Formula 1. I finally took the plunge, and here’s how it went down.
Signing Up and First Impressions
First things first, I went to the F1 TV website. It’s pretty straightforward. They have a couple of plans, but I went for the F1 TV Pro, mostly because I wanted to watch the live races.
- Chose a plan, enter personal details.
- Paid using credit card.
Signing up was easy enough. Just the usual stuff: email, password, payment details. Boom, I was in.

Diving into the Content
Once I logged in, I was like a kid in a candy store. There’s so much stuff! The live races, obviously, that’s the main draw. But then you’ve got all these other things:
- Live timing data, super cool if you’re a real stats nerd.
- Driver tracker map, so you can see where everyone is on the track.
- Onboard cameras, I tried this one, it’s awesome.
- Replays, and past seasons.
I started by checking out some of the replays from the previous races. The video quality was great, no buffering or anything like that. I spent a good few hours just going through different races and highlights.
The Live Race Experience
Then came the real test: a live race weekend. I was a little nervous, hoping the stream wouldn’t lag or anything. I got everything set up: snacks, drinks, the whole nine yards.
- Logged in early.
- Opened the main race.
- Also opened the timing data and driver tracker on my laptop.
The race started, and… it was perfect. The stream was crystal clear, and having the live timing and driver tracker on my laptop made it even better. I felt like I was right there in the pit lane, following everything.
The Verdict (So Far)
Honestly, I’m pretty impressed. It’s not the cheapest subscription, but for a Formula 1 fan like me, it’s worth it. You get so much content, and the live race experience is just amazing. Being able to watch from different driver’s perspectives is wild. I feel like I’m learning a lot more about the strategy and technical side of things too.
I’ve only had it for a little while, so I’m still exploring all the features, but so far, so good. If you’re on the fence about F1 TV, I’d say give it a shot. Especially if you can’t get enough of Formula 1.
