Okay, so I’ve always been a HUGE Formula 1 fan, and the Monaco Grand Prix? That’s like, the holy grail. So, this year, I decided to finally figure out how to actually go. First step, naturally, was figuring out the ticket situation. And let me tell you, it was a bit of a wild ride.
I started by just, you know, Googling. “Monaco F1 tickets.” Loads of stuff came up, some official-looking sites, some… less so. I quickly realized this wasn’t going to be as simple as buying tickets to a concert.
Digging into the Options
I started poking around on a few different websites. It seemed like there were a bunch of different ways to get tickets:

- Official F1 Site: Seemed like the safest bet, but also maybe the most expensive? It wasn’t super clear at first.
- Reseller Sites: Lots of these popped up. Prices seemed all over the place, and honestly, I was a little nervous about getting scammed.
- Hospitality Packages: Whoa. These were like, VIP experiences with fancy hotels and stuff. Way out of my budget, but fun to look at!
I spent a good few hours just clicking around, comparing prices, and trying to figure out what was what. It felt overwhelming, like a tangled mess of options. Some sites showed prices in Euros, some in dollars, and it was hard to keep track.
The Price Range…Yikes!
The prices! Oh man. I saw everything from a couple hundred bucks (seemed too good to be true?) to thousands. And that was just for one day, not even the whole weekend.
I found that prices change depending on:
- Which Day:. Practice sessions were cheaper, naturally. Race day? Forget about it.
- Where You Sit: Obviously, a seat with a killer view of the track cost way more than a general admission spot where you might only see the cars whizzing by for a second.
- General Admission vs. Grandstand:. General admission tickets seemed to be the cheapest, but they also seemed like a bit of a free-for-all. Grandstand seats were more expensive, but you had an assigned spot.
My Actual Search
After several hours of searching online, I found that single-day general admission tickets start around €100-€200, while grandstand seats range from €500 to over €1,000 depending on the location. Three-day packages can easily reach several thousand euros.
It became my final option, it’s a little bit expensive for me, but I think it is a reasonable plan to go there and see the game.
