Okay, so I’ve been a huge NBA fan for years, and naturally, I’m subscribed to NBA League Pass. Recently, a buddy of mine asked if he could just use my account since he’s only interested in watching a few games here and there. I wasn’t sure if that was allowed, so I decided to figure it out once and for all.
My Investigation Process
I started by reading the fine print of the NBA League Pass terms of service. It wasn’t the most exciting read, But buried in there was the answer.
Then, I thought, I better double-check.

I remembered I have a cousin who worked for a sports streaming service. While it wasn’t the NBA directly, I figured he might have some inside knowledge about how these things generally work. I gave him a call.
Finally, I decided to be bold. I went straight to the source and contacted NBA League Pass customer support directly through their online chat.
Putting the Pieces Together
Here’s what I found out from my little adventure:
- The terms of service from my first step clearly stated that account sharing is a no-no. They consider it a violation of their agreement.
- My cousin confirmed that most streaming services have similar restrictions. It’s pretty standard practice to protect their content and revenue.
- The customer support rep was super helpful. They reiterated the policy and even pointed me to some FAQs on their website that explained it in more detail.
So, the answer is a big, fat NO. You can’t share your NBA League Pass with others. I told my buddy the bad news, and while he was a little bummed, he understood. At least I saved myself from potentially getting my account suspended!
