Okay, here’s a blog post about whether or not to wear a shirt under a baseball jersey, written in the style you described:
Alright, so the other day I headed out to a baseball game with my buddies. It was a pretty sunny day, not too hot, but definitely warm enough that I was thinking about what to wear. I grabbed my favorite team’s jersey and then paused. Should I wear a shirt underneath this thing?
I’ve done it both ways before. Sometimes I just throw the jersey on over my bare skin, other times I’ll wear a t-shirt under it. But I could never really decide which way was better. So, I decided to pay a little more attention this time and see what felt right.

First Try: No Shirt
- Started the game without a shirt under the jersey.
- Felt kind of weird at first, a little exposed or something.
- As the sun started beating down, I definitely felt it more.
- Started sweating a bit, and the jersey started sticking to me. Not the most comfortable feeling, you know?
Second Try: With a Shirt
- After the third inning, I ran to the restroom and put on a thin cotton t-shirt I had brought with me, just in case.
- Immediately felt a little more, I don’t know, “protected” or something?
- The t-shirt actually helped soak up some of the sweat.
- The jersey didn’t stick to me anymore, which was a big plus.
- Felt way more comfortable for the rest of the game.
So, here’s the thing. Going shirtless under the jersey wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either. The t-shirt made a big difference in terms of comfort, especially when it came to sweating and the jersey sticking to my skin.
Now, I’m thinking a t-shirt under my baseball jersey is the way to go, at least for me. It just feels better, especially on a warmer day. Plus, I guess it’s a little more, how should I put this, “hygienic”? Keeps the jersey from getting all gross with sweat, so that’s a win too.
That’s my little experiment. Nothing too scientific, but hey, it helped me figure out what works for me when it comes to rocking a baseball jersey. Maybe it’ll give you something to think about next time you’re getting ready for a game!
