Alright, guys, so I’ve been grinding away on NBA 2K24 lately, and I wanted to share a little trick I figured out on how to skip those key games. I was aiming to speed up and get into the play-off quickly.
First off, I jumped into MyCareer mode. You know, the usual, creating my player, picking my team, and all that jazz. Once I got into the season, I noticed those “key games” marked on the calendar. They’re cool and all, but sometimes you just want to blitz through the season, right?
So, I started experimenting. Initially, I thought just simming through the games would do the trick. I went to the calendar, selected a key game, and hit “Sim to this game.”
- First try: Played it straight. I went through the whole pre-game ritual, you know, walking through the tunnel, the whole shebang. But nope, it didn’t let me skip.
- Second try: I thought, “Maybe I need to foul out quickly.” So, I racked up four fouls as fast as I could. This got me benched, and I thought I was onto something. But still, I had to play the fourth quarter. It’s a way faster, but it didn’t quite cut it if you want to skip entirely.
Then it hit me. On the calendar, instead of just simming to the game, I chose “Sim to the next appearance.” Boom! It skipped the key game entirely. I was stoked! I repeated this a few times, and it worked every single time. No more mandatory key games. Also, even I simmed the games, my player still keeps a good average score.
Finally, I want to say that this way worked for me, on PlayStation, by the way. It might be different on other platforms, but give it a shot. Basically, just go to your calendar, and instead of simming to the game, choose “Sim to the next appearance.” This method is pretty simple and doesn’t need those complicated operations.
Why I shared this?
Honestly, I just wanted to save you guys some time. I know how it is when you’re trying to speed-run through a season. Hopefully, this little trick helps you out. Give it a try and let me know how it goes!
