Alright, so you wanna know what happened to that Untitled Boxing Game, huh? Well, let me tell ya, it’s a bit of a story, not as simple as planting corn, that’s for sure.
First off, there’s this game, they called it Boxing Simulator 2. Folks seemed to like it a lot, millions and millions of visits they said. But then, poof! Gone! See, the fella who owned it, some DragonWant fella, got the boot, and the whole thing shut down. Happened back in 2018, around December if I remember right. Just like that, all that hard work, down the drain.
Now, this Untitled Boxing Game, or UBG as some youngsters call it, that’s a different story. This one started up just last year, June 2nd, 2023, to be exact. Some fella named drowningsome, he’s the one who made it. Heard tell it’s based on some Japanese cartoon about boxing, “Hajime no Ippo” they call it. Don’t know much about that, but the kids seem to like it.
This drowningsome fella, he’s been workin’ hard on it, updatin’ the game pretty regular. Every week or two, he’s addin’ somethin’ new. Keeps the young’uns busy, that’s for sure. They say he’s got big plans for it, you know, more punches, more fighters, all that jazz.
But then, there’s this other boxing game, Undisputed, that came out. Big deal, this one was. Folks were waitin’ on it for years, sayin’ it’s the first real boxing game since way back in 2011. Can you believe it? That’s longer than it takes to grow a good pumpkin, I tell ya.
- They started letting folks play early on computers, back in January 2023.
- Then, after fixin’ it up some, they finally released it for everyone in October.
- Now you can play it on them fancy Xboxes and PlayStations, and on computers too.
So, what happened to Untitled Boxing Game? Well, nothin’ really *happened* to it. It’s still goin’, see? Drowningsome is still updatin’ it, and folks are still playin’ it. It’s just that Undisputed came along and stole some of the thunder, you know? Like a big ol’ rooster crowin’ louder than all the hens.
It’s like this, you got your small-town fair, and then you got your big city circus. Both are fun, both have their own charm, but the circus is gonna get more attention, that’s just how it is. Untitled Boxing Game, that’s the fair, Undisputed, that’s the circus. Makes sense, right?
Untitled Boxing Game is still around, it’s just gotta keep peckin’ away, keep updatin’, keep the players happy. Maybe it won’t ever be as big as Undisputed, but it’s got its own place, its own fans. And that’s somethin’ to be proud of, ain’t it? Just like my prize-winning tomatoes, they might not be the biggest, but they sure are tasty.
So don’t you go worryin’ none about that Untitled Boxing Game. It ain’t gone nowhere. It’s still kickin’, still punchin’, still gettin’ played. And that’s all that matters, right? It’s just a bit quieter now, that’s all. Like a little bird singin’ its song in the shadow of a big tree.
And who knows, maybe one day, it’ll grow into its own big tree. Stranger things have happened, I tell ya. Just gotta keep waterin’ it, keep tendin’ to it, and see what grows. That’s the way of things, in farmin’ and in games, seems to me.
