So, I’ve been seeing a lot of chatter online about F1 23, and if it’s on Game Pass. As a huge fan of racing games, I wanted to figure this out for myself. I’ve had Game Pass for a while now, and I thought, why not check and see what the real deal is?
First, I grabbed my Xbox controller and booted up my console. Then I jumped straight into the Game Pass app to start looking around. Initially, I noticed a mention about “F1 Manager 2023” leaving the service soon. It got me a bit confused because I was looking for F1 23, not the manager version. But it did get me thinking about how these games come and go on the platform.
After that, I did a quick search within the app, specifically for “F1 23.” It didn’t pop up right away, which was a bit of a letdown. But then, I remembered something about EA Play being connected to Game Pass Ultimate. So, I went over to check out the EA Play section.

Bingo!
There it was, F1 23, listed and ready to go. It turns out, if you’ve got Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you also get EA Play, and that’s where F1 23 was hiding. I also saw something about needing an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Game Pass Core subscription for online multiplayer. Makes sense, gotta have that to race against others online.
- F1 23 is indeed available, but it’s through EA Play, which is part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
- You can play it on console with the right subscription.
- If you’re into online multiplayer, you need that Ultimate or Core subscription.
Here’s what I figured out:
Oh, and there was a little note about PC and Xbox being different platforms. So if I wanted to play on my PC, I’d have to buy the game separately there, even with Game Pass. There was also something about a 5k XP reward for EA Play members, which is a nice little bonus.
Anyway, I just wanted to share my little adventure. It’s pretty cool that F1 23 is available via Game Pass through EA Play. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go burn some rubber on the track!
