Well, now, let me tell ya somethin’ about this whole mess with Jose Reyes and that woman, Christina Sanchez. It seems like they’re all wrapped up in some kind of court business, and it ain’t lookin’ too good for ol’ Jose. You see, Christina is after him for child support for their young’un, a little girl by the name of Liyah, who’s just 8 years old now. Poor thing, caught in the middle of all this mess, ain’t she?
So, Christina, she showed up in court just the other day, tryin’ to get her due, which is $41 a month, she says. Now, that don’t seem like much, but let me tell ya, it’s all part of this bigger picture where she says Jose ain’t been payin’ enough. She’s been tryin’ to get him to cough up more, and I reckon she’s got a point, though I ain’t sure how she figures $41 is gonna do much for a kid these days. But, anyhow, that’s what’s been goin’ on.
And poor Christina, I heard she was so upset she was cryin’ in the court, waitin’ for things to start. She broke down right there, bless her heart. Seems like all this back and forth is takin’ a toll on her, and I can’t say I blame her one bit. Bein’ a single mama ain’t no easy job, especially when you got someone like Jose, who’s off playin’ ball and not payin’ his share.
Now, Jose Reyes, he’s got himself in a bit of a pickle, don’t he? He’s been ordered to pay $11,500 a month in temporary child support while they figure out the final amount. That’s a lot of money, but I reckon he can afford it. After all, he’s a big-name ballplayer, makin’ plenty from his time with the New York Mets. Ain’t like he’s starvin’ or havin’ trouble payin’ his bills. But still, he ain’t too happy about it, I reckon. No one likes to be told they gotta fork out that kind of dough, even if it’s for their own child.
Now, as for Christina, she’s been pretty vocal about all this. She’s the one pushin’ for more money, sayin’ that Jose’s been slackin’ off in support. She don’t mince words about it. I reckon she feels like she’s been doin’ all the heavy liftin’ herself, raisin’ that little girl, while Jose is off livin’ his life and not carryin’ his share of the load. That’s what I hear, anyway.
They say she was once his mistress, though, not sure how much truth there is to that, but it don’t much matter now. What matters is she’s tryin’ to get what she feels is rightfully hers, for the sake of that child. After all, a mama’s gotta do what a mama’s gotta do, right?
And let’s not forget, this whole thing’s been going on for a while now. Jose’s been taken to court a few times already, and Christina’s been fightin’ this battle, tryin’ to get her daughter’s needs met. It’s a real shame when things get so messy like this, and I’m sure little Liyah don’t understand any of it. She just wants her daddy to be there for her, like any child would.
So, what happens next? Well, we’ll just have to wait and see, won’t we? Looks like they’ll be back in court again soon, so who knows how this will turn out. But I do hope for that little girl’s sake, they figure it out sooner rather than later. Ain’t no child should be caught up in all this adult mess, especially when all they want is a little bit of love and support from both their parents.
