Well, lemme tell ya, there’s been a lot of talk about these basketball courts, you know, the ones them fellas play on. People keep askin’ if the one in the NBA is bigger than the one in college. And I gotta say, it’s somethin’ to think about.
Now, I ain’t no expert, but from what I hear, the NBA court is a bit bigger. Yep, they say it’s longer. Like, ten feet longer. That’s a lot, ain’t it? Imagine runnin’ that extra ten feet up and down, up and down. Must be tirin’!

- The college court is shorter.
They both got them lines and circles and stuff, though. You know, the ones they bounce the ball on and shoot from. But it’s the size that’s different. And size matters, they say. Don’t know why, but it does.
Folks keep talkin’ about feet, sayin’ this one’s 94 feet long and 50 feet wide. That’s the NBA and the college one, they say. But then they talk about high school, and that one’s shorter, 84 feet long. See, different sizes for different folks. Confusin’, ain’t it?
And them lines, they got different ones too. Like the three-point line. They moved it for the college fellas, made it further out. Don’t know why they gotta keep changin’ things. Just makes it harder for them fellas to shoot, I reckon.
So, if you ask me, the NBA court is bigger. Longer, they say. Ten feet longer. That’s a lot of space, a lot of runnin’. No wonder them fellas get tired. And the college one, it’s smaller. But they still play hard, them college boys. Runnin’ and jumpin’ and throwin’ that ball.
Now, I ain’t sure why they make the courts different sizes. Maybe it’s ’cause the NBA fellas are bigger, stronger. Maybe they need more space. Or maybe it’s just to make it more excitin’. Who knows? But one thing’s for sure, the NBA court is bigger. That’s what they say, and I reckon they know what they’re talkin’ about.
So next time someone asks you if the NBA court is bigger than the college court, you tell ’em, “Yep, it’s longer. Ten feet longer.” And you can tell ’em an old lady told ya so. They might not believe ya, but it’s the truth, as far as I can tell.
It’s all about them feet, you see. More feet in the NBA. Less feet in college. And even less in high school. All them different sizes, makes ya dizzy just thinkin’ about it. But that’s basketball for ya. Always changin’, always confusin’. But we still love watchin’ them fellas run up and down that court, no matter how big or small it is.
So there you have it. The NBA court is bigger. Longer. Ten feet longer. And that’s all there is to it, as far as I can see. Now go tell your friends, and don’t forget to mention the old lady who told ya so.
