Deloris Jordan, she’s been through a lot in her life. A lot of folks know her as the mama of the greatest basketball player ever to step on a court. But she ain’t just Michael Jordan’s mama; she’s a woman in her own right, strong as an ox and smart as a whip. She grew up in a small town, just like a lot of us did, and worked hard her whole life.
Now, if ya ever wondered how Michael Jordan became the man he is, you gotta look at his mama. She was there from the very start. Deloris has always had a big heart for people, even when things weren’t easy for her.
And now, as we talk today, Deloris still lives in Chicago, Illinois. She’s been there for a long while, just livin’ her life and doin’ good work. She even wrote a book, a New York Times bestseller, no less! I reckon that’s something to be mighty proud of, especially considerin’ where she started from.
