Alright, listen up, y’all. You wanna slap some fancy F1 wheels on your ride in that there GTA 5 game? Well, it ain’t as easy as pickin’ ’em off a shelf, I tell ya. But it ain’t rocket science neither. Lemme tell ya what I heard tell.
First off, seems like you gotta win some races. Not just any races, mind you. We’re talkin’ tournaments, three of ’em, scattered all over that Liberty City place. One’s near the gun place in Broker, another at some car place in Bohan, and the last one’s at a Pay ‘n’ Spray in Algonquin. You gotta get a bronze medal in each one, y’hear? Not gold, not silver, just bronze. Good enough for government work, they say.
Once you done that, you can buy the F1 car for $5000 from the car man in Boabo. Five thousand dollars! That’s a lot of chickens, I tell ya. But that’s what they say it costs.

Now, here’s the tricky part. This ain’t somethin’ the game tells you how to do straight out. You gotta do some… what they call… glitchin’. Yeah, sounds like somethin’ my old washing machine used to do. Anyways, it involves messin’ around with the game a bit.
Here’s one way folks are doin’ it:
- First, you gotta wreck the car you wanna put the F1 wheels on. Smash it up good, I reckon. Like you done run it into a ditch.
- Then, you drive another car into that LS Car Meet place. Sounds fancy, huh? Probably got them little cucumber sandwiches and all.
- Then you call in that F1 car you bought. The one with the wheels you want.
- And then, this is the part I don’t quite get, you start a race with a friend. A sprint, they call it. While you’re in the LS Car Meet. And somethin’ about mergin’ the cars happens. Don’t ask me how, it’s just what I heard.
Sounds complicated, don’t it? All this messin’ around with races and meets and whatnot. Back in my day, if you wanted new wheels, you just went to the junkyard and found some that fit. None of this fancy computer stuff.
Now, there’s another thing. Seems like some folks are usin’ these… “mods” they call ’em. Computer programs that change the game. You gotta download ’em from somewhere, and then… I dunno, put ’em in the game somehow. Sounds like a lot of trouble to me. And who knows what kind of trouble you might get into messin’ around with them computer things. Could break the whole dang game, for all I know.
But these mods, they let you do all sorts of things. Like usin’ a steering wheel with the game, and adjustin’ how the car steers and all that. Sounds fancy, but I reckon a steering wheel ain’t gonna help you drive any better in that there game. It’s all just pretendin’ anyway, right?
So, to sum it up, you wanna get them F1 wheels, you gotta win them races, buy the car, and then do some glitchin’ or mess with them computer mods. Ain’t easy, but folks seem to be doin’ it. Me? I’ll stick to my old pickup truck, thank you very much. At least I know how to change a tire on that thing.

And one more thing, some folks are just showin’ off pictures of their cars with F1 wheels. Ain’t nothin’ wrong with that, I guess. But it don’t help you none if you wanna do it yourself. Just a bunch of pretty pictures, like them magazines they sell at the store.
Anyways, that’s the long and short of it, as best as I can tell. You wanna get them fancy wheels, you gotta work for it, or mess around with them computers. Either way, good luck to ya. And don’t come cryin’ to me if you break somethin’. You been warned!
