Alright, so ya wanna watch them Mississippi State baseball fellas, huh? It ain’t that hard, even for an old woman like me. Let me tell ya how to do it, no fancy talk, just plain and simple.
First off, ya gotta know when them boys are playin’. That’s the most important thing. They got a whole bunch of games, ya know, some at home, some away. You can find their schedule all over the place, on the internet and such. Just search somethin’ like “Mississippi State baseball schedule 2024,” and it’ll pop right up. See? Easy peasy.

- Home Games: If they’re playin’ at home, that’s in Starkville, Mississippi. You can go right there and watch ’em if ya want. That’s always the best, ya feel the excitement in the air, hear the crack of the bat, all that good stuff. You gotta get tickets though, can’t just walk in. They sell ’em online, places like StubHub, or maybe even at the stadium itself.
- Away Games: If they’re playin’ away, well, then ya gotta watch ’em on TV or the computer, or maybe listen on the radio. That’s what I usually do, sittin’ in my rocking chair with a cup of tea. They got these TV channels like the SEC Network. You gotta have that channel to watch, otherwise, you’re outta luck. My grandson set it up for me. Bless his heart. If you have that DirecTV thingy, the SEC Network is on channel 611. Dish got it too, but I don’t know what channel it is on that one. Ask your young’uns, they’ll know.
Now, sometimes they play in these tournaments, like the SEC tournament. That’s a big deal. This year, they’re startin’ postseason play in Hoover on Tuesday. Don’t ask me where Hoover is, I ain’t never been. You can watch them games the same way, on TV or the computer. They always talk about it on the news too, so ya won’t miss it.
Finding the games on TV ain’t always easy though. They change the channels around sometimes, drives me nuts. But like I said, that SEC Network is your best bet. If they’re playin’ a big team, like them LSU fellas or the Auburn Tigers, it’ll probably be on there. They also might be on ESPN or somethin’, but I don’t watch that much, too much shoutin’ for my taste.
And if ya can’t watch it live, don’t ya worry. They always replay the games, or you can find highlights online. Just search somethin’ like “Mississippi State baseball highlights” and you’ll see all the good stuff. My grandson showed me that too. He says it’s called “on demand.” Fancy words these days. But it’s mighty convenient, I’ll tell ya that.
Let’s say they’re playin’ the Florida Gators. Someone might say, “What: Mississippi State Bulldogs (18-8) (3-3) versus Florida Gators (14-10) (4-2) When: Friday and Saturday (5:30 p.m. CT) Sunday (noon CT) Where: Condron Ballpark.” That just means who’s playin’, when they’re playin’, and where they’re playin’. CT means Central Time, that’s our time. Condron Ballpark? Well, that ain’t Starkville, so you know that’s an away game.
Just remember, Google is your friend. Or your grandkid, whichever is handier. If ya wanna know somethin’, just type it in and it’ll tell ya. “How to watch Mississippi State baseball games”, “Mississippi State baseball TV schedule”, “Mississippi State baseball tickets”, whatever ya need. It’s all right there at your fingertips, ain’t that somethin’?
So there ya have it. That’s how ya watch them Mississippi State baseball fellas. It ain’t rocket science, just gotta pay attention a little bit. Now go on and enjoy the game, and cheer loud for them Bulldogs! They need all the help they can get, them young’uns.
And remember, if they’re playin’ a big series, like against LSU, get them tickets early! They go fast, especially for them weekend games. The first SEC series, everyone wants to see that one! Prices can get kinda high too, so be prepared to open your pocketbook a little wider. But hey, it’s worth it to see a good game, right? And them Bulldogs are worth it, always playin’ their hearts out.
So go on now, find them games and have yourself a good time. Baseball is a good way to spend an afternoon, or an evenin’, even for an old lady like me. It’s excitin’, and it’s somethin’ to cheer for. We all need a little somethin’ to cheer for these days, don’t we?
