Alright, listen up, y’all. We’re gonna talk about them two fellas, Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers, quarterbacks for the Packers, you know, that football team with the green and yellow. Folks always arguin’ about who’s better, so let’s just look at the numbers, plain and simple, like countin’ eggs in the henhouse.
Now, Brett, that ol’ gunslinger, he played a long, long time. Threw for a whole heap of yards, somethin’ like 71,838 yards, they say. That’s a lot of throwin’, like tossin’ hay bales all day long, but his passer ratin’, whatever that is, was ’bout 86.0. He won a Super Bowl back in ’97, Super Bowl XXXI they called it. Folks ’round here were happier than a pig in mud that day.
Then comes along this young fella, Aaron Rodgers. Folks weren’t too sure ’bout him at first, fillin’ Brett’s big shoes and all, but he done alright, I tell ya. He ain’t thrown for as many yards as Brett, only ’bout 59,055 yards, but his passer ratin’ is higher, somethin’ like 103.6. That means he’s pretty good, I reckon, like pickin’ the ripest watermelon in the patch. He won his own Super Bowl in 2011, Super Bowl XLV, they called it. Another day for a big ol’ celebration.
So, who’s better? Well, that’s like arguin’ ’bout whether sunshine or rain is better for the crops. You need both, see? Brett was like a wild stallion, always throwin’ the ball, sometimes good, sometimes not so good. Aaron, he’s more like a steady plow horse, gets the job done, but maybe not as excitin’ all the time.

They both left Green Bay the same way, kinda sad-like, but that’s just how things go sometimes. Like a good pair of boots, they wear out eventually.
This year, Aaron’s playin’ for a new team, and he’s still throwin’ the ball alright. Heard tell he’s got somethin’ like 1668 yards and 12 touchdowns so far. That’s like haulin’ a whole lotta firewood before winter sets in. He’s still got some zip in him, that’s for sure.
So, there you have it. Brett and Aaron, two good quarterbacks, both won Super Bowls, both threw a whole heap of yards. Who’s better? Well, that’s up to you to decide. Me? I just like watchin’ good football, long as the snacks are good and the company’s friendly. It’s like havin’ a good potluck supper, everyone brings somethin’ different, but it’s all good eatin’ in the end.
