Well, howdy there! Let me tell ya somethin’ about these NASCAR scanner frequencies for 2023. Folks been askin’ about ’em, seems like everyone wants to listen in on them fellers racin’ ’round the track.
Now, I ain’t no tech whiz, but from what I gather, you need yourself a scanner. Any ol’ police scanner will do, they say. Yep, even them digital ones, but you really just need an analog scanner to hear them fellers talkin’. I heard tell there’s a difference between analog, trunked, and digital scanners, but shoot, it all sounds like gibberish to me.
Someone told me there’s this fella, he made himself a whole Github thingamajig with all them frequencies. Smart fella, I guess. Folks was lookin’ for them frequencies before the Daytona race, wanted to get their scanners all set up. I reckon that’s just good plannin’.

- Now, where can you find them frequencies? Well, there’s this here website, *. They used to be called the Frequency Fan Club, or somethin’ like that. Sounds like a bunch of folks who like listenin’ in, just like you.
- Then there’s MRN, that’s the Motor Racing Network, I think. They’re one of the big radio fellas broadcastin’ the races. You can probably hear somethin’ on there too.
I heard tell that NASCAR bandwidth runs around 450.0000 to 470.000. Don’t ask me what that means, but I reckon it’s important if you’re tryin’ to tune your scanner.
Now, some folks are wonderin’ ’bout gettin’ full access to the scanner on their phones and computers. Well, I heard you can get it for free on the web if you got yourself a verified * account. You just gotta sign in when them races are happenin’ – practices, qualifyin’, and the races themselves.
But listen here, if you ain’t got one of them fancy accounts, you can still listen in with a regular scanner. It’s like listenin’ in on the CB radio back in the day, only these fellers is racin’ cars instead of truckin’. Just gotta find the right frequency, and you’re good to go.
I tell ya, it’s somethin’ else hearin’ them drivers talkin’ to their crews, callin’ out for tires or fuel, complainin’ ’bout the other drivers. It’s like you’re right there in the car with ’em. ‘Course, sometimes they talk all technical, and you ain’t got a clue what they’re sayin’. But it’s still fun to listen.
So, if you wanna listen in on them NASCAR races, go get yourself a scanner and find them frequencies. It ain’t hard, and it’s a whole heap of fun. And don’t you worry if you ain’t tech savvy. If an old gal like me can figure it out, you can too.
Just remember, be patient, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. There are plenty of folks out there who know more about this stuff than I do. And most importantly, have fun listenin’ to them cars go zoom!

Now, I gotta go make some supper, but you all have fun listenin’ to them races. And if you see me at the track, be sure to say howdy!
