Well, let me tell ya somethin’, this Crash Crazy Motorsports thing ain’t like anything you’d see down here in the fields or in the ol’ village. This here’s about big ol’ cars smashin’ into each other, and folks just lovin’ it! It’s a demolition derby, and if you don’t know what that is, well, sit tight and I’ll tell ya all about it.
Crash Crazy Motorsports, they call it, and let me tell ya, it’s a wild ride! The folks behind it are a bunch of brave souls who got themselves a real knack for makin’ big ol’ car crashes a sport. Now, I ain’t talkin’ about just a couple folks bumpin’ their bumpers together like some kiddies in the yard, no sir. This here’s full-on metal-on-metal, cars goin’ all over the place, hittin’ each other till they don’t look like cars no more!
The place where it all happens is Wausau, Wisconsin. I reckon you might not know much about Wausau, but it’s a little town where folks gather from all around just to watch cars crash and burn, well, not literally burn, but you get what I mean. And this whole thing started back in 2017, and it’s been growin’ ever since. If you got a need for speed, and love the sound of metal crunchin’, then you might want to check it out sometime.
So, what do ya need to know to be part of the action? First off, you gotta be ready to pay to get in. Ain’t no free rides here! If you’re hopin’ to get in early, well, they got them Early Bird tickets up until June 30th, or until they run out. A grown-up’s gonna need to pay $12 if you’re early, or $15 at the door. Kids, well, they don’t get off too bad—if you’re between 4 and 12, you pay $8, and anyone younger than 3, they don’t charge nothin’! Now, I don’t know how they make a living if the little ones ain’t payin’, but it sure sounds like a good deal if you ask me.
The derby itself? Oh, it’s a whole mess of fun. Cars get in a big ol’ ring, and it’s all about hittin’ each other till one car’s left standin’—or at least still movin’. Don’t expect them cars to look real pretty after a few rounds. Some of ‘em get all banged up and bent outta shape, but that’s part of the fun! People come from all over to see the action, and I reckon you could say it’s a bit like a big ol’ family reunion, except instead of havin’ a big potluck, you’re watchin’ cars tear each other apart.
Now, if you wanna join in the action, you gotta follow the rules. Don’t think you can just show up with your old jalopy and start smashin’ away! They’ve got rules for all that. They even got forms for ya to fill out. The rules are important, cause without ’em, it’d just be a free-for-all, and nobody wants that. But let me tell ya, if you’re serious about gettin’ in that derby, you best read them rules real close.
