Well, let me tell you somethin’ ’bout them Yankees and Mets. It’s been a long road, them two teams playin’ against each other, and when you look at the record, it’s the Yankees that’s comin’ out on top. Yep, they got the edge with an all-time record of 84 wins to 67 losses against the Mets. Now, that’s quite a number, ain’t it? Over the years, these two teams have met plenty of times, but the Yankees have been the ones takin’ more of the wins home.
Now, y’know, these two teams don’t just play each other in regular season games. They also got themselves into the postseason once—back in 2000. That was when the Yankees and Mets went head-to-head in the World Series. And, let me tell ya, it wasn’t much of a battle, really. Yankees won it 4 games to 1, leavin’ the Mets scratchin’ their heads. That was the only time these two teams met in the postseason so far, but it sure gave the Yankees another feather in their cap.
As for the regular season, well, it’s been more of the same. The Mets have tried hard, but the Yankees always seem to have the upper hand. As of now, the Mets’ record against the Yankees stands at 66 wins and 80 losses, and that ain’t exactly what they were hopin’ for, I’m sure. But don’t go thinkin’ it’s all bad for the Mets. They’ve had their moments, just not enough to turn the tide against those Yankees.

Now, I know some folks might be wonderin’ how all this came about. Well, when the Mets first got started back in 1962, they weren’t even on the map like the Yankees. The Yankees, they were already a powerhouse, havin’ won World Series after World Series. The Mets, well, they had to build up their team, and it wasn’t until much later that they started to make a name for themselves.
But even though the Mets might’ve had some good seasons here and there, the Yankees just have more experience and history. With 27 World Series titles, they’ve got the most championships in all of Major League Baseball. And when you stack that up against the Mets, well, it’s not hard to see why the Yankees usually come out ahead in these matchups. But hey, don’t count the Mets out—they’ve still got some fight left in ’em!
There’s somethin’ special about New York baseball. Whether you’re rootin’ for the Yankees or the Mets, the games are always full of energy and excitement. But the truth is, it’s the Yankees who have the better all-time record. That’s just how it is right now. Maybe someday the Mets will turn it around, but for now, it’s still a Yankees world when it comes to this matchup.
So, if you’re a fan of the Mets, don’t get too discouraged. Every game is a new chance, and maybe one day, the Mets will finally tip the scales in their favor. But until that day comes, it’s the Yankees that got the braggin’ rights with the better all-time record. And that’s somethin’ they ain’t gonna let you forget anytime soon!
