Alright, so you wanna know about this wrestling game, WWE 2K24, right? And whether you can play with your buddies even if they got different game machines. That’s what them young folks call “crossplay” these days.
Well, lemme tell ya, this here game, it ain’t like that. Nope, WWE 2K24 don’t have no crossplay. Means if you got a PlayStation, you can only wrestle with other PlayStation folks. Same goes for Xbox and that computer thingy, the PC. You play with your own kind, see?
Now, don’t get me wrong, you can still play with other people. It’s got that “online multiplayer” thing. You can wrestle strangers or your friends, long as they got the same machine as you. It’s like if we all went to the same town fair, we could all dance together. But if they went to a different fair, well, we can’t dance together, can we? It’s the same thing with this here game.

- PlayStation folks play with PlayStation folks.
- Xbox folks play with Xbox folks.
- Computer folks play with other computer folks.
That’s just how it is. They didn’t put that crossplay thing in this game. Maybe they will next time, maybe they won’t. Who knows what them game makers are thinkin’?
But listen, even without that crossplay, there’s still plenty to do in this WWE 2K24. You can play by yourself, wrestle all sorts of matches. You can create your own wrestler, make ‘em look all tough or all pretty, whatever you like. It’s like dressin’ up dolls, but for wrestlin’. And you can even make up your own stories, like a soap opera but with more punchin’ and body slammin’.
Now, I heard some folks sayin’ somethin’ about “cross-platform.” That ain’t the same as crossplay, mind you. Cross-platform just means you can get the game on different machines. Like, you can buy it for PlayStation, or Xbox, or PC. This game, it does that. You can find it on all them different things, so lots of folks can play it. But it doesn’t mean they can play *together*.
And another thing they talk about is “cross-progression.” That’s different too. That means if you start playin’ on, say, a PlayStation 4, and then you get yourself a fancy PlayStation 5, you can keep your progress. All your wrestlers and your stories, they move with you. That’s handy, I guess. Like movin’ from the old house to the new one and takin’ all your furniture with ya.
So, to make it clear, WWE 2K24 ain’t got crossplay. You can’t wrestle your buddy if he’s on a different machine. But you can still play online with folks on the same machine as you, and the game is available on lots of different machines. And you can keep your progress if you upgrade to a newer machine in the same family.
They make these games so complicated these days. Back in my time, we just had one game, and everybody played it together. Now they got all these fancy words and different ways to play. Confusin’, if you ask me. But that’s how it is, I suppose. You just gotta learn the lingo and figure out what’s what.

So, go on and have fun with your wrestlin’ game. Just remember, if you wanna play with your friends, make sure you all got the same machine. Otherwise, you’ll be wrestlin’ all by your lonesome, and that ain’t no fun now, is it?
