Alright, let’s talk about them Atlanta Braves and their get-ups, you know, the clothes they wear when they’re playin’ ball. Folks call ’em uniforms, I reckon.
Now, see, there’s this thing called “Home Whites” and “Road Greys”. Simple as pie, really. If you’re watchin’ the game on that there TV and you see a team wearin’ white, they’re playin’ at home. If they’re wearin’ grey, well, they’re visitin’. Been that way for donkey’s years, I tell ya.
The Braves, they got their regular white outfit for when they’re playin’ in Atlanta. That’s their home, where all their fans are. And then they got a grey one for when they go visitin’ other teams.

But it ain’t just white and grey, no sirree. They got all sorts of other get-ups too. They got this dark blue one, almost black lookin’, that they wear sometimes when they’re on the road. They used to have it all navy, with just some white lines around the letters and numbers, you know, so you could see ’em.
And get this, they even got some special outfits they wear just at home sometimes. One’s red, and they wear it on Friday nights. Makes it a bit more festive, I guess. Then there’s this other one, the “City Connect” they call it. They wear that one on Saturdays. I heard it’s supposed to be about some fella named Hank Aaron, a real good player from back in the day. He was somethin’ special, they say. Don’t know much about him myself, but folks seem to like that outfit.
- Home Whites: For when they play in Atlanta.
- Road Greys: For when they play away from home.
- Navy Alternate: A dark blue one for some away games.
- Red Alternate: A red one for Friday night home games.
- City Connect: A special one for Saturday home games, paying tribute to Hank Aaron.
Now, they been wearin’ these here Braves uniforms since way back in 1966, when they moved to Atlanta from some place called Milwaukee. Didn’t change their clothes much when they moved, though. Just kept on wearin’ pretty much the same thing, I reckon.
And wouldn’t you know it, some company called Nike, they make all these uniforms now. They say they made ’em better, so the players can run faster and jump higher, or somethin’ like that. And they made ’em look a bit fancier too, I guess. They even came out with a new home outfit not too long ago, one that looks kinda like the old ones they used to wear. Folks seem to like it, all this lookin’ back and rememberin’ the good old days.
They even got all sorts of shirts and hats and such with these different uniform designs on ’em, so folks can wear ’em and show they’re rootin’ for the Braves. You can buy ’em online, or at the ball park, I hear. Lots of folks like to wear ’em to the games, makes ’em feel part of the team, I suppose.
So there you have it, a whole bunch of different clothes these fellas wear to play ball. Home whites, road greys, and all them other fancy ones. It’s enough to make your head spin, but as long as they’re winnin’ games, I don’t reckon it matters too much what they’re wearin’, now does it?

But I tell ya what, that Hank Aaron fella, he must’ve been somethin’ real special. They keep talkin’ about him and puttin’ him on them shirts. Good for him, I say. Good for him.
