Alright, listen up, y’all. You got them boxing gloves, right? The ones you been smackin’ the bag with? Yeah, those. They stink somethin’ awful, don’t they? Like a dead rat wrapped in a gym sock. Well, I’m gonna tell ya how to clean them things, so you don’t go around smellin’ like a garbage dump.
First off, don’t you be throwin’ them gloves in your bag right after you’re done beatin’ on stuff. That’s just askin’ for trouble. You gotta let ’em air out, see? Open them things up wide, like a book, and let the air get in there. I like to put mine in front of a fan, if I got one handy. Gets ’em dry quicker, you know?
Now, some folks, they’ll tell ya to use all sorts of fancy cleaners. Don’t you listen to them! You don’t need none of that fancy stuff. You know what works just fine? That apple cider vinegar stuff you got in the kitchen. Yeah, the same stuff you put on your salads. Take a spoonful of that, and pour it right into your hand, or on a clean rag if you’re feelin’ fancy. Then, rub it all around inside them gloves. Get it in all the nooks and crannies, you hear? Make sure it gets everywhere.

- Open your gloves wide after use.
- Let them air out completely, preferably in front of a fan.
- Pour a spoonful of apple cider vinegar into your hand or on a clean cloth.
- Rub the vinegar thoroughly inside the gloves.
After you’re done rubbin’ that vinegar in, you gotta let them gloves dry. And I mean completely dry. Don’t be tryin’ to use ’em when they’re still damp. That’s how you get them nasty smells in the first place. Leave ’em out overnight, somewhere where the air can get to ’em. By mornin’, they should be smellin’ a whole lot better. If they still stink a bit, well, just do it again. Ain’t gonna hurt nothin’.
Now, I heard some folks talkin’ about usin’ that alcohol stuff to clean their gloves. You know, the stuff they put in them hand sanitizers. Well, let me tell you somethin’: that stuff will ruin your gloves! It’ll dry ’em out and make ’em crack. Then you’ll be out a pair of gloves, and you’ll have to go buy new ones. And ain’t nobody got money to be wastin’ on new gloves all the time, am I right?
So, just stick to the vinegar, y’all. It’s cheap, it’s easy, and it works. And that’s all there is to it. Keep them gloves clean, and they’ll last you a good long time. And you won’t be goin’ around smellin’ like a goat neither. Nobody wants to smell a stinky goat, let me tell you.
And remember, keepin’ your gloves clean ain’t just about the smell. It’s about keepin’ them in good shape, so they last longer. It’s about keepin’ your hands healthy too. You don’t want no nasty stuff growin’ in them gloves, do ya? Didn’t think so. So take care of your gear, and it’ll take care of you. That’s just common sense, if you ask me.
Now, some young’uns might be thinkin’ this is too much trouble. But let me tell you, it ain’t. It only takes a few minutes, and it’ll save you a whole lotta headaches in the long run. And it’s a whole lot better than havin’ to buy new gloves every few months. So, don’t be lazy. Take care of your stuff. And that’s all I gotta say about that. Now go on and get to cleanin’!
