Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this George Michael fella and his clothes. I ain’t no fashion expert, mind you, but even I could see he had a way with them threads. Always somethin’ a little different, ya know?
He wasn’t afraid to wear all sorts of things. I seen pictures, and lemme tell ya, some of it was real fancy-like. Like them suits, the kind that cost more than my whole house, probably. They say he liked them Eyetalian fellas, Armani and Versay-chee, or somethin’ like that. Sounded expensive, that’s for sure.
- Jackets and skinny ties, that’s how he started, I hear. Looked alright, I guess, for a young fella.
- Then came the suits. Oh, them suits! Made him look like a real gentleman, even if his hair was a bit wild sometimes.
- And the shirts! Sometimes he wore shirts, sometimes he didn’t. Kids these days, they call it “shirtless blazer”, I think. Go figure.
But it wasn’t just the fancy stuff, ya know? He wore regular clothes too. Jeans and t-shirts, like anybody else. But even then, he always had somethin’… special. Maybe it was the way he wore it, or maybe it was just him. He could make a plain white t-shirt look like a million bucks, that’s what I say.

And that earring! That dangly cross thing? Everyone remembers that. Folks still wear somethin’ like that today, I betcha. He started a whole thing with that, they say. One little earring, and everyone went crazy for it. Shows ya, it don’t take much sometimes.
He wore big ol’ jackets, too. Bigger than he needed, for sure. Looked a bit silly, if you ask me, but hey, what do I know? He was famous, he could wear whatever he wanted. And them crop tops? On a man? Well, I never! But he pulled it off, somehow. He had that… whatchamacallit… confidence. Yeah, that’s it. He could wear a potato sack and still look good, probably.
They say he had more than two hundred different outfits! Two hundred! Can you imagine? I got maybe… five outfits, and that’s countin’ my church clothes. He must have had a whole room just for his clothes. Maybe even two rooms! I bet his closet was bigger than my whole house.
And where did he get all this stuff? Who knows? Maybe he went to them fancy stores, the ones with the shiny floors and the snooty sales ladies. Or maybe he had someone to buy it all for him. When you’re rich and famous, you don’t have to go shoppin’ yourself, I guess. You just point and say, “I want that one,” and poof, it’s yours.
Anyways, he’s gone now, bless his heart. But people still talk about his clothes, even today. They sell stuff online, you know, on them internet things. eBay, Amazon, they got everything. You wanna dress like George Michael? Go right ahead, they got you covered. You can find just about anythin’ on there, they say. Costumes, even! But I reckon it ain’t the clothes that made him special, it was him wearin’ them.
I seen some deals advertised, too. Black Friday sales and such. Always tryin’ to get you to spend your money, them folks. But hey, if you got the money and you wanna look like a pop star, go for it, I say. Life’s too short to wear boring clothes, ain’t it?

But remember, it ain’t just about the clothes. It’s about how you wear ‘em, how you feel in ‘em. George Michael, he felt good in his clothes, you could tell. And that’s what made him a style icon, they say. Not just the fancy suits or the dangly earring, but the whole package. He was just… him.
