Well, let me tell ya something ’bout that Michael Jordan, ya know, that big ol’ basketball fella. He’s more than just some fancy player out there on the court. Ain’t just about throwin’ them hoops or runnin’ fast. No sir, he done a whole lot for folks, especially for people like us, folks from the Black community. Some folks, they call it his “legacy,” and that’s a fancy word for all the good stuff he done done for others. It ain’t just about what he did for the game of basketball, but what he done for people, too.
Ya see, this Michael Jordan, he wasn’t one to keep his blessings to himself. Nope. He been real generous, especially with them dollars. He’s been puttin’ money into places that need it, you know, like them places that work hard to get rid of racism and give folks a fair shot. He and his “Jordan” brand, well, they promised to give a whole lotta money—$100 million, they say—to help them organizations fight for racial equality. Now that’s somethin’ to be proud of, ain’t it? A whole heap of money, makin’ sure folks get treated right, no matter the color of their skin.
Now, some might think Michael Jordan’s biggest impact came from them championships he won. And sure, them are somethin’ to talk about, but what really matters is how he used his fame and his money to lift others up. That man didn’t just sit on his millions, he used ’em to make a real difference in the world, helpin’ folks like me and you. And that’s somethin’ special.

Besides all them business deals and basketball games, Michael Jordan’s also been teachin’ young ones how to take pride in who they are, no matter where they come from. They got this thing called the “Black History Project” goin’ on, and it’s a way for kids to learn more ’bout their history and where they come from. That’s important, ya know. The young ones, they gotta know their roots, and how far folks like us have come. It ain’t always been easy, but we made it, and that’s cause of people like Michael Jordan, who stood up for us.
So, if yer lookin’ for a way to teach them youngins ’bout Black history, well, maybe get ’em to do a project ’bout Michael Jordan. They can learn ‘bout his basketball career, sure, but they can also learn ‘bout all the good work he’s done off the court. And that right there will show ‘em that bein’ great ain’t just ’bout what ya do on the field, it’s ’bout what ya do for others, too.
Now, don’t go thinkin’ Michael Jordan’s just some rich fella playin’ games. No ma’am. That man’s made a real difference in this world, and if we all had a little bit of that same spirit, well, maybe the world would be a better place. He ain’t just a sports star, he’s a role model, and he done helped plenty of people along the way. So, when ya talk about Michael Jordan, remember it ain’t just ’bout them basketballs and them shoes, it’s ’bout what’s in his heart and what he done for us all.
And don’t forget, Black History Month ain’t just for learnin’ ‘bout folks who came before us, it’s for teachin’ the young ones ‘bout the folks who are still doin’ great things today. Michael Jordan’s one of them folks, and we should be mighty proud of him.
