Okay, here’s my take on the “Mike Tyson – Best Ever” topic, written in a casual, personal blog style:
Alright, so I’ve been down a rabbit hole lately – a Mike Tyson rabbit hole, to be exact. I mean, the guy’s a legend, right? But was he truly the best ever? That’s what I wanted to figure out, for myself at least.
I started by just watching fights. Not just the highlight reels, everyone’s seen those. I mean full fights, one after another. YouTube is a goldmine for this, seriously. I dug through his early career, the stuff before he even became a household name. I watched him obliterate guys, I mean, just destroy them. It was brutal, it was fast, and it was…kinda scary, honestly.

Then I moved onto the championship fights. The Spinks fight – 91 seconds! That’s shorter than some commercial breaks! I watched the Trevor Berbick fight where he became the youngest heavyweight champ. The power, the speed, the ferocity… it was something else.
- First, I focused on his technique. The peek-a-boo style, Cus D’Amato’s influence, all that.
- Then, I tried to understand his mindset. Reading interviews, watching documentaries. What made him tick?
- I also did compare him to some of my other favorite fighters in the boxing.
I spent hours, maybe days, just immersed in this. And I gotta say, it’s hard to argue against Tyson being one of the greatest. The sheer dominance he had in his prime is just undeniable. He was a force of nature.
I still had a question in my mind, Did his prime short? So I looked for some documentaries which mentioned his stories, I tried my best to understand what happened to him at that time. I believe that he might have a longer career than what we saw.
My Conclusion
So, is Mike Tyson the best ever? That’s still a debate for the ages, I guess. But for me, after this deep dive, he’s definitely in the conversation. He’s a legend, no doubt about it. And honestly, watching those old fights is just pure, electrifying entertainment.
I have written down my own opinions and feelings in my personal diary. Maybe in the future, I can be more professional to discuss with others who is the best.
