Hey everyone, so today I wanted to talk about how I managed to watch the Oregon Ducks football games. As a huge fan, it’s really important for me to catch every game, and I’ve tried a bunch of different ways to do it.
First off, I tried the usual cable TV route. It worked, but man, those bills were hitting my wallet hard. I mean, I love the Ducks, but not enough to break the bank. So, I started looking into other options.
One day, I was scrolling through my phone and stumbled upon Hulu + Live TV. I saw they had a package that included ESPN, which often broadcasts the Ducks’ games. Plus, they were throwing in Disney+ and ESPN+ at no extra cost. The price was steep, yeah, starting at $82.99 a month, but it seemed like a good deal with all those extras. I subscribed the service, and I really watched some games on it.

But I didn’t stop there. I also checked out Fubo TV and DirecTV, since I knew they carried ESPN too. I was really just exploring all avenues to make sure I wouldn’t miss a single game. I signed up for a trial on Fubo TV, just to see what it was like. It was pretty decent, I gotta say.
Then, I heard about the Big Ten Network. Apparently, the Ducks’ season opener against Idaho on August 31st is gonna be aired on BTN. So, I made a mental note to check that out closer to the date.
I also did some digging and found out that even though I prefer to watch the game in front of TV, there are actually a ton of ways to watch the Ducks without cable in 2024, like Hulu Live TV, Vidgo, Sling, and Fubo. Each one has its own perks, so it really depends on what you’re looking for.
And it’s not just about watching live games. I also wanted to stay updated on their schedule. I found out that the Rose Bowl game against Ohio State was on ESPN too. That was a big one! And then there was a game against the Ohio State Buckeyes on January 12th. I made sure to mark my calendar for that one. It seems Ohio State is a strong team, they already got 15 wins.
I even looked into the CFP schedule. It’s a bit of a maze, but I figured out that some games were on TNT. So many channels to keep track of!
After all that searching and trying different things, I finally settled on a mix of Hulu + Live TV and occasionally checking out the other platforms. This way, I get to watch most of the games without spending a fortune.

It’s been a bit of a journey, figuring out the best way to watch my Ducks. But hey, it’s all worth it to support the team. Go Ducks!
