Okay, so here’s the deal, folks. I’ve been wanting to catch the Nebraska football game, and let me tell you, it wasn’t as straightforward as I thought it would be. But I figured it out, and I’m here to share my journey with you all.
First off, I tried to find out if there’s like, a local radio station that would broadcast the game. You know, old school style. Turns out, the Husker Radio Network does broadcast the games. But here’s the catch – I don’t have an actual radio. Yep, I’m one of those people who relies on the internet for everything.
So, plan B. I started checking out those fancy streaming services. You got your DIRECTV STREAM, fuboTV, Hulu Live TV, and Sling TV. They all sound cool and all, but I wasn’t really keen on shelling out extra cash just to watch a game. I mean, I love the Huskers, but not that much, you know?

Then there’s this YouTube TV thing. They say you can start a free trial and cancel anytime. Sounds tempting, right? Stream live TV from ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC. But I’ve been burned by these “free trials” before. You forget to cancel, and boom, you’re charged for a whole month. No, thanks.
Now, I also got some info about the Huskers playing against Purdue in some place called West Lafayette. And get this – it was an early game, 11 a.m.! Who plays football that early? Anyway, they also had a game against Ohio State. Big teams, I guess. But honestly, I just wanted to watch my Huskers play, no matter who the opponent is.
I also remembered reading something about the team. It says they got a new coach named Matt Rhule. Hope he’s good!
- Tried finding a radio station, but I don’t own a radio.
- Looked into streaming services, but they cost money.
- Considered YouTube TV’s free trial, but I’m skeptical.
- Learned about their games against Purdue and Ohio State.
- Discovered they have a new coach, Matt Rhule.
In the end, I managed to watch the game. How? Well, let’s just say a friend of a friend has a subscription to one of those streaming services, and they were kind enough to let me use their account. We watched the game together. It was fun, though a bit of a hassle to get there. Go Huskers!
