Alright, listen up, y’all. Gonna tell ya how to tag in that there WWE 2k23 game. My grandkid, he’s always playin’ it, makin’ all that noise. So I watched him a bit, figured some things out. It ain’t rocket science, that’s for sure.
First thing’s first, you gotta have a partner, ya hear? Can’t tag nobody if you’re all alone in that ring. So, you and your buddy, you’re in there, wrestlin’ around. You get tired, beat up, whatever. Time to tag!
Now, this is the easy part. You wanna tag? Just smack that LB button. Yeah, that little button on the top, on the left side of your controller. If you’re playin’ on that PlayStation thingy, it’s the L1 button. Same spot, just a different name. Whack it good, and your partner will come taggin’ in, fresh as a daisy.
But hold on, there’s more to it than just hittin’ a button. You gotta be close to your corner, see? Can’t be standin’ in the middle of the ring tryin’ to tag. That ain’t gonna work. Get yourself over to your corner, and then smack that LB or L1 button. Then, boom! Tag made.

Sometimes, you might be smackin’ that button, and nothin’s happenin’. Don’t go breakin’ your controller now. It just means your partner ain’t ready. Maybe they’re gettin’ beat up themselves, or maybe the game just ain’t lettin’ you tag right then. Just gotta wait a bit, find a good moment, and try again.
Now, about them tag teams, my grandson was tellin’ me somethin’ about creatin’ ’em. Sounds complicated, but he made it sound simple enough. You go into the game, find the right menu – he called it “create a tag team” or somethin’ – and then you pick your wrestlers. You can have two guys, that’s your regular tag team. Or you can have three, if you wanna be fancy. He even said you can have a man and a woman together, call it a “mixed tag team.” Kids these days, always makin’ things complicated.
Creating a tag team ain’t so hard, the boy says. Just go to the right spot in the game, pick your fellas, give ’em a name, and you’re good to go. You can even make ’em wear the same clothes, if you’re into that kinda thing. Me, I just like watchin’ ’em wrestle.
So, that’s the gist of it. Wanna tag? LB or L1. Wanna make a team? Go find the right menu. It ain’t brain surgery. And don’t go yellin’ at the TV if it don’t work right away. Sometimes, these games just got a mind of their own. You just gotta be patient, and keep smackin’ them buttons till somethin’ happens.
And remember, have fun! That’s what my grandson always says, even when he’s losin’. He says it’s just a game, don’t take it too serious. He’s a good kid, that one. Always teachin’ me new things, even if I don’t always understand ‘em.
