Alright, let’s talk about them UNC football season tickets, you know, the ones for that college team, the Tar Heels or somethin’. Folks been askin’ me, “How much they cost?” Well, it ain’t as simple as buyin’ a bag of flour, I tell ya.
First off, you gotta understand, these tickets, they ain’t all the same. Just like eggs, some are bigger, some are smaller, and some are just plain fancier. You got your cheap seats, way up high where you need binoculars to see if the ball’s even pointy, and then you got them fancy seats down low, where you can practically smell the sweat on them players.
Now, from what I hear, them cheap seats, the ones they call “nosebleeds,” they might start around, say, thirty bucks a game. But that ain’t for season tickets, mind you. That’s just for one game. If you want the whole shebang, all the home games they play, well, that’s gonna cost you more.

I heard some folks sayin’ a season pass could run you ’round seven hundred dollars. That’s a lot of money, let me tell ya. You could buy a whole lotta groceries with that kinda cash. But I guess if you really love that football, and you wanna see all them games, then maybe it’s worth it to you.
But hold on, it gets even more complicated. See, they got different sections in that there stadium, and each section costs a different amount. They got somethin’ called “zones,” like Zone 1 and Zone 2. Zone 1, that’s the fancy stuff, near the middle of the field. Them tickets, they could be three hundred and seventy-five dollars, or even more. Zone 2, that’s more towards the end of the field, and them tickets might be a little cheaper, maybe three hundred and twenty dollars or so.
And then you got them boxes, like the “Pope Box” and the “Koury Box.” Sounds fancy, don’t it? Well, you bet your bottom dollar them seats are gonna cost you a pretty penny. I don’t even know how much exactly, but I bet it’s more than I make in a month, that’s for sure.
Now, where do you buy these tickets? Well, you can go to the official website, the one for the Tar Heels. Or you can go to somethin’ called Ticketmaster, that’s what my grandson told me. He’s always on that computer, buyin’ and sellin’ stuff. He says sometimes you can find tickets cheaper there, but sometimes they cost more. It’s like a horse trade, I tell ya, always gotta be hagglin’.
And here’s another thing. The prices I’m tellin’ ya, those are just the face value prices. That means that’s what the university is sellin’ ’em for. But sometimes, folks buy up them tickets and then turn around and sell ’em for more. It’s called “resellin’,” and them tickets can get real expensive, especially if it’s a big game against a good team.
- So, to recap, cheap seats might be around $30 a game, but season tickets are way more.
- Fancy seats in Zone 1 could be $375 or more.
- Zone 2 seats a little cheaper, maybe $320.
- Boxes are real expensive, don’t even ask.
- You can buy from the official website or Ticketmaster.
- Resale tickets can be much pricier.
And don’t forget, they gotta add tax to all that, just like everything else these days. The government always gotta get their cut, you know? So, if you’re thinkin’ about gettin’ them UNC football season tickets, you better start savin’ your pennies. It ain’t cheap, that’s for sure. But hey, if you love football, and you got the money, then go for it. Just don’t come cryin’ to me when you’re eatin’ beans for a month ’cause you spent all your cash on tickets!

One last thing, if you are thinkin’ of buyin’ a whole bunch of tickets, like for your whole family, you might be able to get up to 16 season tickets, but you gotta have some kind of priority status or somethin’. And they also got parking passes you can get, but that’s a whole ‘nother story. It all depends on how much money you wanna spend, I reckon. And make sure the website you buyin’ from can be used on your computer. My old computer sometimes can’t open new websites, real pain in the neck if you ask me!
