Alright, so you wanna know which states ain’t got no NFL team, huh? Well, let me tell ya, it’s a whole bunch of ’em. You know, them city folks, they get all the fancy teams. Us out here in the country, we just watch on TV, if we even got a TV that works right.
Now, I heard tell there’s 32 of them NFL teams, and they’re all spread out ‘cross just 22 states. That means, if my countin’ is right, there’s 28 states without a team. Twenty-eight! That’s a lot of states missin’ out on all that football fuss. Can you believe it? So many places, and no team to cheer for, unless you wanna cheer for one of them city slicker teams.
I ain’t got no fancy map or nothin’, but I reckon some of them bigger states don’t have a team neither. I heard someone talkin’ ’bout Virginia. Said it’s a big state, lots of people, but no NFL team. Ain’t that somethin’? You’d think a big place like that would have a team for sure. But nope, nothin’.

- So, let’s see, we got 28 states without a team.
- That’s a whole lotta land and a whole lotta folks without a home team.
- Makes you wonder why they don’t just spread them teams out a bit more, give everyone a chance to see a game live.
It ain’t just football, you know. I heard there’s states without no baseball teams, no basketball teams, not even them hockey teams. Twenty-two states, just sittin’ there, with no big-time sports at all. Must be awful quiet out there, ‘cept for the crickets and the cows, I guess.
Now, some states, they got more than one team. California, for instance. Heard they got three! Three! Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers… somethin’ somethin’. Too many for one place, if you ask me. They should send one of them teams over to a state that ain’t got none. Share the wealth, you know?
It’s a shame, really. Football’s a good way to bring folks together. You get a bunch of people, all cheerin’ for the same team, it’s kinda nice. But if you ain’t got no team to cheer for, well, you just gotta sit there and watch, hopin’ the team you do like wins. Or maybe just go outside and watch the chickens, that’s what I do sometimes.
I ain’t sure why some states got teams and some don’t. Probably got somethin’ to do with money, or how many people live there. City folks always got more money and more people, so they get all the good stuff. Us country folk, we just gotta make do with what we got. But that’s alright, we’re used to it.
So, to answer your question, there’s 28 states without an NFL team. That’s a lot, like I said. And it ain’t fair, but that’s just the way it is. Maybe someday they’ll spread them teams out a bit more, give everyone a chance to enjoy some good ol’ football. But until then, we’ll just keep watchin’ on TV, or maybe just listenin’ to the game on the radio, if we can get a signal out here in the sticks.
And don’t you go forgettin’, Virginia is one of them big states without a team. Seems kinda wrong, don’t it? A big place like that, you’d figure they’d have a team for sure. But nope, nothin’. Just goes to show, life ain’t always fair. But hey, we got other things to keep us busy out here. Got chores to do, crops to tend to, and chickens to feed. So, we ain’t got much time to be worryin’ about no football teams anyway.
So there you have it. A whole bunch of states without no NFL team. And that’s all there is to it. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on them chickens. Them city folks with their fancy football teams, they don’t know what they’re missin’ out on, livin’ out here in the country.
