Okay, so, let me tell you about how I got NFL RedZone set up on my DIRECTV. It wasn’t too hard, but there were a few things I had to figure out.
First off, I needed to find out what channel it was. I hopped onto DIRECTV’s website and did a quick search. Turns out, NFL RedZone is on channel 211. Simple enough, right?
Next, I had to make sure I had the right package. I already had DIRECTV, but I wasn’t sure if RedZone was included. Back to the website I went. I found out that RedZone is part of an add-on sports package. I have the Ultimate package so NFL network should be already included, but RedZone is not.

- Logged into my DIRECTV account.
- Navigated to “Manage my TV package”.
- Scrolled down to the “Add-ons” section.
There it was – the sports add-on. I clicked on it, followed the prompts, and boom, I had it added to my account. It was pretty straightforward, just a few clicks and I was done. I think it said it might take a few minutes to update, but I checked right away and it was already working.
So, I switched over to channel 211, and there it was – NFL RedZone in all its glory. Seven hours of non-stop football action. Touchdowns from every game, just like they promise.
A Little Extra Research
I also did a little digging around online. From what I gathered, it seems like * sometimes offers free streaming of RedZone during Week 1 of the season. I made a mental note to check that out next year. Could save me a few bucks, you know?
And that’s pretty much it. Now I’m all set for game day. If you’re a football fan like me, you gotta get RedZone. It’s totally worth it.
