Alright, let’s talk about them states, you know, the ones without no fancy football team. I heard some folks sayin’ there’s a bunch of ’em, so I figured, why not jaw about it a bit? Now, I ain’t no expert, mind you, just a regular person tryin’ to make sense of things.
First off, they say some places just ain’t big enough or got enough people to have a team. Makes sense, I guess. You need a whole heap of folks to fill up them stadiums and cheer on the fellas, right? So, places like, what was it? Idaho, Montana, Wyoming… them kinda places, they ain’t got no big city teams. Not just football, but baseball, basketball, and that hockey stuff too. They’re kinda out in the sticks, I reckon.
But then, you got other states, bigger ones, and they still ain’t got no team. Surprised me, it did. Like, Virginia, they say it’s a big state, lots of people, but no NFL team. And there’s others too, like, twenty-somethin’ states all together. That’s a lot, ain’t it? Makes you wonder how them folks get their football fix.

Now, I heard tell that there’s only 22 states that *do* have NFL teams. And some of them got more than one! California, that’s one, got like, three teams or somethin’. Lucky ducks. But the rest of the states, they gotta root for somebody else’s team, or maybe just watch it on the TV.
- You know, back in the day, there used to be teams that ain’t around no more. Like, the Boston Yanks, and the Dallas Texans, but that was a long time ago. They didn’t last, for whatever reason. Maybe they weren’t good enough, or maybe folks just didn’t care enough to go see ’em play. Who knows?
- And some states, they got colleges with big football programs, so maybe that’s enough for some folks. You know, them college games can be pretty excitin’ too. I seen a few on TV, and them young fellas, they sure do play hard.
Anyways, it all boils down to this: not every state has an NFL team, and that’s just the way it is. Some places are too small, some are too big but still don’t have one, and some used to have ’em but lost ’em. It ain’t always fair, but life ain’t always fair, is it? You just gotta make do with what you got, and if that means cheerin’ for a team from another state, well, then that’s what you do.
It’s kinda like how some folks got big gardens and some folks just got a little patch of dirt. You work with what you got, and you try to make the best of it. And if you really want to see an NFL game, well, you can always hop in your car and drive to a state that’s got one. Or you can just stay home and watch it on TV. It’s up to you.
And one more thing, they say there’s like 28 states without a football team, that’s a whole bunch. But them folks still love football just as much as anyone else. They find ways to enjoy the game, whether it’s watching on TV, listening on the radio, or just talkin’ about it with their friends and family. It’s more than just a game, you know? It’s a way of life for some folks, a way to come together and celebrate somethin’ they all love.
So, next time you’re watchin’ a football game, remember them states that ain’t got no team. They’re out there rootin’ for somebody, even if it ain’t their own hometown heroes. And that’s what makes football so great, ain’t it? It brings people together, no matter where they’re from. And that’s somethin’ worth cheerin’ about, I reckon.
