Now, lemme tell ya, I’ve been watchin’ them wrestling shows for as long as I can remember, and there’s been a lotta talk about this AEW and WWE thing. Folks keep askin’, “Are they workin’ together?” Well, let me break it down for ya in a way even I can understand, and maybe you too.
Now, first off, AEW, that’s All Elite Wrestling, if ya didn’t know, is a wrestling company that started up not too long ago. It’s based in Florida, down where the sun shines bright, and it’s owned by this father and son duo, Shahid and Tony Khan. Tony, he’s the one runnin’ the show, ya know, being the president and all that. Then you got WWE, which is, well, the big ol’ monster of wrestling, the one that’s been around for ages. And folks always talk about ‘em like they’re the biggest dogs in the yard, which, I guess they are, if you ask me.
Now, here’s the thing: AEW and WWE, they ain’t exactly workin’ together. Not now, anyways. There ain’t no handshake deal or joint shows happenin’ between ‘em. People keep hopin’ for a crossover, but it ain’t happened yet, not in any big way at least. WWE, they seem to be doin’ their own thing, and AEW, well, they’re out there tryin’ to make a name for themselves. So, don’t go expectin’ the two companies to come together like some big ol’ family reunion just yet.

But here’s somethin’ interesting: while they ain’t exactly at each other’s throats like WCW and WWE was back in the day, there’s still a bit of rivalry. I mean, you got AEW doin’ their thing, puttin’ on their own big shows, like that All In event they got comin’ up, and WWE got SummerSlam on the calendar too. Both of ‘em are big events, but they’re not exactly collidin’ in the way some folks might like to see.
Now, don’t get me wrong, there’s a lotta wrestlers who move back and forth between these two companies. Some go from WWE to AEW, and some do the opposite. It’s just how the business works, I reckon. But as for a big ol’ crossover show? I wouldn’t hold my breath just yet. WWE and AEW are still a bit like distant cousins who don’t visit each other much. Maybe in the future, but for now, it’s all just talk.
But here’s the thing folks don’t always see: wrestling is always changin’. There’s a lot of talk about how these two companies might eventually have to team up in some way, or at least face off, ’cause there’s always room for new ideas in the business. With all the changes that happen over time, who knows what’ll happen next? Maybe one day, AEW and WWE will come together in some form. But for now, it’s a wait-and-see kinda situation.
Some folks think with Vince McMahon outta the picture at WWE, maybe that could change things a bit. But, like I said, don’t get yer hopes up too high. For now, AEW and WWE are just two big wrestling companies doin’ their own thing, and that’s about all we can say. Whether they’re gonna work together or not? Well, time will tell.
So, to answer the question: Is AEW and WWE workin’ together? Nah, not right now. But who knows, maybe in the future they’ll find a way to get along and do somethin’ big. Until then, we’ll just keep watchin’ from the sidelines and enjoyin’ the shows as they come.
