Well, I reckon y’all might’ve heard of a young gal named Mya Lesnar. She’s the daughter of that big ol’ wrestler Brock Lesnar, y’know, the one with muscles like a bull and a temper to match. Now, Mya, she’s not out there throwin’ folks around in a ring, no sir. She’s makin’ a name for herself out on the track and field, throwin’ them heavy balls and such, just like her daddy wrestles, but in her own way, on her own turf. Ain’t that somethin’?
Born back in 2002, Mya grew up in a little town called Alexandria, Minnesota. Now, I ain’t no expert, but I reckon she didn’t have all that glitz and glamour around her. Far from it. While her daddy was busy puttin’ on a show in front of thousands, she was back home, livin’ a quiet life away from all that fame. Ain’t too many folks can say that about bein’ the daughter of a WWE star, I tell ya that much.
Now, this Mya, she didn’t just grow up watchin’ her pops. Oh no, she’s her own person, with her own dreams and aspirations. She started her college journey down at Arizona State University, where she spent a couple years, just doin’ her thing. But after that, she packed up her bags and moved on over to Colorado State University, and I reckon it was the right choice. That Coach Brian Bedard must’ve been somethin’ special to catch her eye, ‘cause she took that leap to CSU and hasn’t looked back since.

Well, let me tell ya, folks, she’s been doin’ some mighty impressive things over there. Back in February of 2023, she won the weight throw at the Mountain West Indoor Championships, and if I recall correctly, she set a personal best throw of 20.68 meters. That’s a long way, y’all. Ain’t no small feat for a young lady from a small town.
But it didn’t stop there. Mya went on to break her own record in the shot put at the Mountain West Outdoor Championship, and helped her team, Colorado State, snag themselves a big ol’ win. That day, Mya reached a distance of 19.08 meters. I tell you, she’s got some strong arms, like a farmer’s daughter, but instead of tossin’ hay bales, she’s tossin’ them heavy shot puts.
And if that wasn’t enough, the Colorado State Rams went on to claim the 2024 Mountain West team championship, all thanks to a strong performance from Mya Lesnar and her teammates. I reckon they’ll be talkin’ about that win for a long time, especially since it wasn’t just one or two folks carryin’ the load, it was a whole team effort.
Now, y’all might be wonderin’ what else Mya’s been up to. Well, she’s been out there at the Colorado Running Company UCCS Invite, strutten’ her stuff on the field and makin’ sure everyone knows her name. She’s got a real bright future ahead of her, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she keeps shinin’ and breakin’ more records. With over 46,000 folks followin’ her on the ol’ social media, looks like people are takin’ notice. And with her steady progress, she’s bound to go even further, just like her ol’ man did in the wrestling ring, but in her own way.
To sum it all up, Mya Lesnar might be the daughter of a famous wrestler, but she’s makin’ her own mark on this world, not by throwin’ punches, but by throwin’ them heavy weights out on the track. And I reckon there’s a lot more to come from this young lady, so keep an eye on her. She’s goin’ places!
