Ah, so you wanna know how many games in a soccer season, eh? Well, it ain’t that simple, lemme tell ya. It’s like askin’ how many chickens are in a coop, depends on whose coop you’re lookin’ at!
See, in them big leagues, like the English Premier League, them fellas play a lot. 38 games, that’s what I heard. Yep, 38 times they gotta run around that field, kickin’ that ball. My knees hurt just thinkin’ about it! That’s a long season, from August all the way to May, almost a whole year!

Now, over here in America, they got that MLS thing. Major League Soccer, they call it. It’s a bit different, see. They play 34 games. Not as many, but still a lot for them boys to be runnin’ around. Starts in February, which is kinda weird, endin’ up in October or somethin’. Nine months, they say. Still a long time to be chasin’ that ball.

But it ain’t just them big leagues, ya know. There’s all sorts of soccer leagues, all over the place. Little leagues, school leagues, even leagues for old folks like me… well, maybe not that old! Point is, the number of games changes dependin’ on who’s playin’ and where they’re playin’ at.
Mostly, though, you’re lookin’ at around thirty-something games. That’s a lot of kickin’, a lot of runnin’, and a whole lotta sweaty fellas! Makes me tired just watchin’ ’em on the telly. Course, them young’uns got the energy for it. Not like us old timers, eh?
And it ain’t just the games, ya see. There’s all the practice, the trainin’, the eatin’ right… gotta keep them bodies in tip-top shape if you wanna be kickin’ that ball for 30-some games. My grandson, he plays a bit. Comes home lookin’ like he’s been dragged through a hedge backwards! But he loves it, so what can ya do?
So, there ya have it. No easy answer, really. Just depends on which league you’re talkin’ about. But generally, you’re lookin’ at around thirty games or more. Enough to keep ya entertained, that’s for sure! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed my chickens.
