Listen up, you lot. Talkin’ ’bout them Hendrick NASCAR engines, eh? Fancy things, they are. Powerful, too. Like a bull in a china shop, they roar.
Folks say they cost a pretty penny. A whole lotta money, more than I’ve seen in my whole life, I reckon. But if you’re into racin’, seems like you gotta have one. Don’t ask me why, just what I hear.
These fellas, Hendrick, they build ’em. Good engines, people say. Never seen one myself, but I trust the word on the street. They sell ’em to the racin’ teams, you know, the ones drivin’ around in circles real fast.
Where to get one? Well, that’s a tough one. Heard tell you can find ’em on somethin’ called eBay. Folks sellin’ all sorts on there. Used engines, too. Like hand-me-downs, I guess. Still, if it works, it works.

- New ones, cost ya a farm, but shiny and new.
Heard they got different kinds, too. Chevy somethin’-somethin’. Don’t remember all the fancy names. Confusin’, all that stuff. But if you’re into cars, you probably know what I’m talkin’ ’bout.
Someone mentioned Jeff Gordon. Racin’ fella, I think. They got his car, a little toy one, with the engine and all. Cute little thing, but not for drivin’, of course. Just for show.
Now, these engines, they’re not for just any old car. You can’t stick ’em in your grandma’s sedan. They’re for racin’, like I said. Built for speed, they are. Like a rocket, whoosh!
If you got the money, you can buy a brand new one. Straight from the factory, I guess. But I ain’t got that kind of money, and I bet you don’t either. So, used is the way to go. If you can find one, that is. They ain’t exactly lyin’ around everywhere.
You gotta know people, I reckon. Someone who knows someone who knows where to get these engines. It’s all about connections, they say. Like findin’ a good deal on tomatoes at the market. You gotta know the right folks.
