Okay, so I’ve been seeing a lot about Anthony Joshua’s physical transformation lately, and it got me curious. I mean, the guy’s always been in great shape, but he looks noticeably different. So, I decided to dig in and try to follow his regimen, at least for a little while, to see what it’s all about. It’s been a journey, let me tell you!
Getting Started
First, I looked up everything I could find about his current training and diet. It wasn’t easy piecing it all together. There’s a lot of general stuff out there, and it can be super vague.
I tried to follow it as best i could, doing my own thing.

The Workouts
- Heavy Lifting: I added a lot more compound exercises like squats, deadlifts, and bench presses. Focused on lifting heavier than I usually do, with fewer reps.
- Boxing Specifics: I did shadow boxing, and some mitt work with a friend (he was terrible, but hey, it’s something!).
- Cardio: Tried to get some hill sprints and it was brutal!.
The Diet
- Lots of Protein: I ate a ton of chicken, fish, and eggs. Seriously, so many eggs.
- Complex Carbs: Switched to whole grains, sweet potatoes, and brown rice, mainly. I’ve been trying to cut back on simple sugars, but it is difficult.
- Tons of Water: I’m carrying a huge water bottle everywhere. And I drink it all the time.
The Results (So Far)
Honestly, it’s been tough. The workouts are intense. After a few weeks, I do feel stronger. My lifts have definitely gone up. I’m also feeling leaner, but it’s hard to say how much of that is just wishful thinking!
The diet is the hardest part for me. I’ve been very hungry, and also craving sweets. It’s a constant battle.
I’m not sure I can keep this up long-term, It’s a real commitment, and it takes a lot of discipline. But it’s definitely given me a new appreciation for what these pro athletes put their bodies through. It’s a whole different level of dedication.
