Alright, so I’ve been looking to step up my boxing game lately, and everyone keeps talking about Grant boxing gloves. I heard they’re like the Rolls Royce of boxing gear, handmade in Mexico, super high quality, and all that. So, I decided to find out where I could snag a pair for myself.
First, I hit up the usual suspects, you know, the big sports stores. I went to DICK’S Sporting Goods and Academy Sports + Outdoors. And guess what? They actually had them! They even had the 1910 Boxing Gloves, you know, the Advanced Gloves with Hook and Loop and Triple-Layer Foam. Oh, and Walmart Supercenter, too.
Then I did what any sensible person would do – I checked online. Turns out, there are tons of places selling them. I saw some listings for Grant boxing gloves, and the prices seemed pretty reasonable. But I wanted to make sure I was getting a good deal, so I dug a little deeper.

- Checked out some online marketplaces and found some good deals.
- Saw some Grant gloves going for around $74.90, which seemed like a steal, especially with free shipping.
- Found out the usual price range is somewhere between $88 and $119, so I knew what to expect.
But here’s the thing, I’m not just looking for any Grant gloves. I want the lace-up ones. I heard they offer better wrist support, which is important for someone like me who’s prone to injuries. So, I started looking specifically for lace-up Grant boxing gloves.
Choosing the Right Size
Now, when it comes to size, I know that boxing gloves come in different sizes, usually measured in ounces (oz). And the right size depends on your weight and what you’ll be using them for. From what I gathered:
- 8 oz to 10 oz gloves are good for competitive boxing matches.
- 12 oz to 16 oz gloves are better for training, sparring, and general use.
Since I’m mostly going to be training and sparring, I figured I’d need something in the 12 oz to 16 oz range. I heard Grant gloves are pretty sought after, especially the ones made with “Cuero Planchado” leather, which is supposed to be top-notch. Founded in 1995, Grant Worldwide has been the go-to boxing brand used by pro fighters for their high quality.
So, that’s where I’m at right now. I’ve narrowed down my options, figured out what size I need, and I’m ready to pull the trigger. I think I’m gonna go with a pair of lace-up Grant boxing gloves, probably in the 14 oz range. I’m excited to see how they feel and how they hold up during my training sessions. I’ll definitely keep you guys updated on how they perform!
