Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another tech how-to. Today’s topic is all about getting that sweet, sweet NFL RedZone on DIRECTV. I’ve been a DIRECTV subscriber for a while now, and let me tell you, once you get a taste of RedZone, there’s no going back. So, let’s dive into how I set this up.
First off, I had to figure out where to even find this channel. I mean, I knew it existed, but where? After a bit of digging around on the DIRECTV website – I just kinda poked around in the sports section – I found that it’s actually on channel 211. Yep, 211, write that down. That’s your golden ticket on Sundays during the regular NFL season.
Adding RedZone to My Package
But here’s the thing, it wasn’t just there when I turned to channel 211. I had to add it to my package. I’m not gonna lie, I was a bit confused at first. There’s this thing called the “DIRECTV Sports Pack,” and that’s what you need.

So, I logged into my DIRECTV account online – went to “Manage my TV package” – pretty straightforward stuff. Then, there’s a section for “Add-ons.” Clicked on the “Sports” tab and boom, there it was, the DIRECTV Sports Pack. It’s like $14.99 a month, which, for 7 hours of non-stop football, I figured was worth it.
The Moment of Truth
After adding it, I had to wait a bit. You know how these things go, it’s not always instant. But eventually, I flipped to channel 211, and there it was, NFL RedZone in all its glory. Touchdowns, big plays, and me on my couch yelling at the TV. It was beautiful.
Other Options I Found Out About
- YouTube TV: Apparently, you can get RedZone on YouTube TV too. You can either bundle it with NFL Sunday Ticket or get it with something called the “Sports Plus add-on.” I didn’t go this route, but it’s good to know.
- Other Sports Channels: With the Sports Pack, I also got a bunch of other sports channels like NBA TV and MLB Network. Not bad, right?
So, that’s my story of getting NFL RedZone on DIRECTV. It’s a bit of a process, but once you get it set up, those Sundays become a whole lot more exciting. If you’re a football nut like me, I highly recommend it. Anyway, that’s it for today’s adventure. Catch you guys in the next one!
