Alright, so you wanna know who won that there car race at Talladega? Well, let me tell ya, it was that fella, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Yep, that’s right, Ricky Stenhouse. He done won it.
Now, I ain’t no expert on these fancy car races, mind you. I just watch ’em on the TV sometimes when there ain’t nothin’ else on. But from what I seen, it was a real nail-biter. Cars goin’ round and round, real fast-like. And then, at the end, Ricky Stenhouse, he just zoomed right on past them other fellas and took the checkered flag. It was a close one, I tell ya. A real close one.
They say he won it in a three-wide battle. Can you imagine that? Three cars, side by side, racin’ to the finish line. Sounds like a whole lotta commotion to me. But Ricky, he kept his cool and he come out on top. Good for him, I say.

This wasn’t just any ol’ race, neither. This was the YellaWood 500. Big race, lots of folks watchin’. And Ricky, he done won himself a good chunk of change, too. They say the prize money was somethin’ like nine million dollars! Lordy, that’s enough money to buy a whole lotta cows and chickens. I reckon Ricky’s gonna be eatin’ high on the hog for a while now.
- It was at Talladega Superspeedway. That’s a big track, I hear.
- Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was the winner. Remember that name.
- He hadn’t won a Cup race since Daytona back in 2023. Guess he was due for a win.
This win, it was Ricky’s fourth career Cup Series win. That’s a pretty big deal, I guess. Folks seem to get all excited about these things. Me? I’m just happy to see someone from around here doin’ well. Even if I don’t rightly know him from Adam.
Now, I heard some folks sayin’ that Ricky ain’t even in the playoffs. Can you believe that? He won the race, but he ain’t in the playoffs. Makes no sense to me, but that’s how them NASCAR folks do things, I reckon. They got their own set of rules, and I ain’t gonna pretend to understand ’em. All I know is, Ricky Stenhouse won that race fair and square.
And it wasn’t just him winnin’. All them fellas that helped him, the fellas that worked on that car, they winnin’ too. It takes a whole team to get a car around that track that fast. So good on ‘em, all of ‘em.
Some other drivers, they was talkin’ after the race. Said it was a tough race, a real battle. They was sayin’ Ricky had some Chevy teammates helpin’ him out. That’s how it goes in racin’, I guess. You gotta have some friends out there on the track. Can’t do it all alone.
So there you have it. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. He’s the one who won that there NASCAR race at Talladega. A three-wide finish, millions of dollars in prize money, and a whole lot of happy folks. What more could you ask for? Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens. They get to squawkin’ somethin’ fierce if I don’t feed ‘em on time. And that’s a whole lot more important than some silly car race, if you ask me.
