Well, howdy there! You wanna listen to them UGA football games on the radio, huh? It ain’t rocket science, let me tell ya. I’ve been listenin’ to them Bulldogs for ages, way back when radios were big ol’ boxes with knobs and such.
First thing’s first, you gotta find yourself a radio. Any kinda radio will do, really. Them fancy new ones, the ones that look like little boxes, or the big ones, like in the old days. Just make sure it’s got AM and FM, that’s the important part, you hear? You can usually find ’em at the store, or maybe even at a yard sale, if you’re lucky. People are always gettin’ rid of perfectly good stuff these days.
Now, once you got your radio, you gotta find the right station. Around here, it’s mostly WSB, that’s 750 AM and 95.5 FM. They call it “Atlanta’s News & Talk”, but all I care about is the Bulldogs. They’re the ones who carry all the games. Sometimes, if you’re far away, you might need to find another station. But don’t you fret, most stations that play the games will tell you, loud and clear, that they’re playin’ the Bulldogs.

- Look for stations that say “Georgia Bulldogs”, easy peasy.
- Listen for the announcers talkin’ about the Dawgs.
- Sometimes they even have special shows durin’ the week, coach’s shows and such.
Now, listenin’ to the radio ain’t always easy. Sometimes the signal goes wonky, you know? It starts cracklin’ and poppin’, and you can barely hear what’s goin’ on. That’s just the way it is sometimes. You might have to move the antenna around, try to find a better spot for the radio. Or just be patient, sometimes the signal comes back. It’s like the weather, unpredictable, you know?
Another thing you can do, if you’re tech-savvy, is listen online. I don’t know much about them computers and internets, but my grandkids, they do. They tell me you can listen to the games on somethin’ called “TuneIn”. Said it’s got all sorts of stuff, replays and coach’s shows, too. I guess it’s like a radio but on the computer. If you can figure that out, good for you. Me, I’ll stick to my old radio, thank you very much.
They also have somethin’ called “Bulldogs LIVE” on the radio, too. They talk about the football and basketball. It comes on Thursdays, they say. I guess it’s for folks who just can’t get enough of the Bulldogs. I can understand that. Football season, it’s the best time of year!
So, there you have it. That’s how you listen to UGA football on the radio. Find a radio, find the right station, and listen. It ain’t complicated. And if you can’t get a clear signal, well, that’s just part of the fun, ain’t it? Gives you something to fuss about. Now, go on, get that radio tuned in, and cheer on them Bulldogs! Go Dawgs!
And one more thing, don’t forget to get some snacks and drinks ready. You can’t listen to a football game without some good eats! Maybe some chips and dip, or some peanuts. And somethin’ cold to drink, especially if it’s a hot day. That’s the key to a good game day.
And one last, last thing. If the Bulldogs lose, don’t you go throwin’ that radio out the window! It ain’t the radio’s fault. Just gotta wait till next week and hope for the best, just like always. That’s football. It teaches patience, you know, just like waitin’ for the crops to grow. Takes time.
