Alright, so you wanna know when that wrestling stuff, the WWE, is comin’ to Pittsburgh in 2024, huh? Well, lemme tell ya what I heard. It’s a bit of a mess, you know, dates and times all over the place, but I’ll try to make some sense of it for ya.
First off, they had somethin’ goin’ on in December, last year, 2023, around Christmas time. That was December 27th at that PPG Paints Arena place. But that’s done and gone, so no need to worry ’bout that no more.
Now, for 2024, it’s like they’re all over the place. They say they’re tourin’ all over North America, from January all the way to September. That’s a long time, and who knows where they’ll be when. But, they did have somethin’ in Pittsburgh earlier this year. Yep, WWE Friday Night SmackDown was in Pittsburgh on April 19th. Heard it was a big deal, lots of folks yellin’ and whatnot.
- So, April 19th, 2024: SmackDown in Pittsburgh. Done already.
- December 27th, 2023: Holiday Tour at PPG Paints Arena. Also done.
Now, about the rest of the year? That’s where it gets tricky. They announced a whole bunch of shows, somethin’ like 27 of ’em, and they said tickets went on sale last November. But they didn’t say exactly when they’d be back in Pittsburgh again. They talk about RAW and all that, but it’s like tryin’ to catch a chicken in the yard, all flappin’ around and hard to grab hold of.
They keep sayin’ they’re tourin’, but they don’t make it easy to know when they’ll be right here. It’s like they expect everyone to just know, or maybe they think we got all the time in the world to chase after ’em. Heck, I got things to do, you know? Can’t be spendin’ all day tryin’ to figure out when some fellas in tights are gonna be grapplin’ in town.
I heard somethin’ about some big company, TKO Group Holdings, they own the WWE now. Maybe that’s why it’s so confusing. Big companies, they don’t always think about the little folks like us, tryin’ to figure out when to go see a show.
So, here’s the deal as I see it. They were here in April, that SmackDown thing. They might be back later, but they ain’t sayin’ when for sure. You gotta keep your eyes peeled, listen to the radio, maybe ask around. Someone’s bound to know somethin’ sooner or later.
And if you really wanna know, maybe try lookin’ online. But be careful, those websites can be tricky too. Full of all sorts of stuff that don’t make no sense. Just look for the dates and the place, Pittsburgh, that’s all you need.
One more thing, they said somethin’ about tickets goin’ on sale in November, that was last year, for shows this year. So, if they do announce somethin’ for Pittsburgh later in the year, you gotta be quick. Them tickets go fast, like hotcakes on a Sunday mornin’.
