Alright, listen up, y’all. Let’s talk about this here car racin’ thing, the one they call NASCAR. They’s gonna have a big race on Sunday, and everybody’s jawin’ about who’s gonna be startin’ up front.
So, I heard tell that this fella, Tyler Reddick, he’s gonna be on what they call the “pole.” Now, I ain’t no fancy city slicker, but from what I gather, that means he’s startin’ first. Good for him, I guess. He must be a pretty good driver, seein’ as how this ain’t his first time up there. They say he’s done it a few times this year already. This time, it’s at some place called Homestead. Sounds like a nice place to raise chickens, if you ask me.
And speaking of these drivers, there’s a whole bunch of ’em in what they call the “playoffs.” Sounds serious, like them fellas are fightin’ for somethin’ important. Five of them playoff drivers, they’re gonna be startin’ in the top ten. That means they got a good chance of winnin’, I reckon.

- But hold on a minute, there’s more to this story. I remember hearin’ about another fella, Joey Logano. He done won that big championship race last year, over in Phoenix. Yep, he’s a champion, that one. He’s been winnin’ them poles too, goin’ real fast in Vegas one time. Don’t know how he does it, those cars go so darn fast, makes my head spin just thinkin’ about it.
- Then there’s this William Byron fella. He’s been on the pole a few times too, even for that championship race in Phoenix. Seems like these fellas are always tradin’ places up front. Byron, he also won a pole at some place called Road America, and I heard he was real fast at Phoenix. Guess he likes them desert tracks, huh?
Now, I ain’t sure who else is gonna be racin’ on Sunday, but I heard tell of a few other places and names. They was racin’ in Indianapolis, and Reddick was the fastest there too. And that fella, Kyle Larson, he’s gonna be startin’ first at some place called Martinsville. Lots of racin’ goin’ on, all over the place. Makes you dizzy tryin’ to keep up.
And get this, this Martin Truex Jr. fella, he’s retirin’ or somethin’. But before he goes, he went and got himself a pole position for the championship race in Phoenix. Good for him, goin’ out with a bang, like a firecracker on the Fourth of July. Now, they’re gonna have four fellas – Ryan Blaney, William Byron, Joey Logano and Tyler Reddick – battlin’ it out for the championship.
So, there you have it. A whole bunch of names and places, and a whole lotta racin’. To be honest, I don’t know half these fellas from Adam, but they sure do like drivin’ in circles real fast. Come Sunday, they’ll all be lined up, ready to go. And who knows who’s gonna win? That’s the fun of it, I guess. Just like life, you never know what’s gonna happen next. But one thing’s for sure, it’ll be excitin’. And maybe, just maybe, that Tyler Reddick fella will win again. Or maybe it’ll be Logano, or Byron, or somebody else entirely. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Anyways, that’s all I got to say about this here race. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens. Them eggs ain’t gonna gather themselves, you know.
