Well, let me tell ya, this Duke and North Carolina A&T game, it’s got folks talkin’. I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I hear things. Folks are sayin’ Duke’s gonna win, and win big.
Heard tell they’re callin’ Duke the favorite, by a whole bunch of points. Twenty-somethin’, I think. That’s a lot, even for someone like me who don’t know much ’bout these fancy games. Sounds like them Duke fellas are pretty good this year.
Now, this North Carolina A&T team, they call ’em the Aggies. Bless their hearts, they ain’t doin’ so well so far. Lost their first couple of games, I reckon. Heard they can’t seem to score much. And that defense, well, it ain’t been stoppin’ nobody neither.
- Some folks are sayin’ the score might be somethin’ like 41 to 10. That’s a whoppin’, ain’t it?
- Others are guessin’ even higher, like 48 to 10, or even 41 to 13.
- Whatever it is, it sounds like Duke’s gonna be doin’ most of the scorin’.
I heard tell one game, them Aggies got beat somethin’ awful. Lost by a whole bunch of points. Couldn’t even get a touchdown in the second half. That don’t sound too good. If they play like that against Duke, well, it ain’t gonna be pretty.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ it’s a sure thing. Funny things happen in these games, ya know. Sometimes the underdog comes out and surprises everyone. But from what I’m hearin’, that ain’t likely to happen this time. Duke’s just too strong, I guess.
They say this game is gonna be played at Wallace Wade Stadium, in Durham. That’s a big place, I hear. Lots of folks gonna be there, watchin’ them boys run around. I bet it’ll be somethin’ to see.
I also heard somethin’ about a “point spread.” Said Duke’s gotta win by more than 27 points or somethin’ for folks who bet on ’em to win. That sounds like a lot to me, but what do I know? I just hope them boys play their best and nobody gets hurt. That’s what really matters, ain’t it?
So, if you’re askin’ me, I’d say Duke’s gonna win. And they’re probably gonna win by a whole lot. But like I said, I ain’t no expert. Just a regular person, listenin’ to what folks are sayin’. But if I was a bettin’ woman, I’d put my money on Duke. Just don’t tell nobody I said that!
Anyways, I reckon we’ll all find out soon enough. The game’s on Saturday, I believe. So, we can all sit back, watch, and see what happens. Maybe them Aggies will surprise us all. But I ain’t holdin’ my breath. Duke just seems too strong this year.
At the end of the day, it’s just a game, right? Folks gettin’ together, havin’ some fun, watchin’ these young fellas play their hearts out. That’s what it’s all about, I reckon. Win or lose, it’s just a game.
But still, it’s more fun when your team wins, ain’t it? And it sounds like Duke fans are gonna have a lot to cheer about this Saturday. So, good luck to them Blue Devils, and better luck next time to them Aggies. Maybe they’ll get ’em next year.
