Well now, y’all, let me tell ya somethin’ ’bout that WWE and how it might be comin’ to San Antonio, Texas. If you don’t know nothin’ about wrestling, you’re missin’ out on a heap of excitement. Now, I reckon most folks around here know what WWE is all about, with all them big ol’ wrestlers throwin’ each other around like ragdolls. It’s a big deal, especially in a city like San Antonio where we love us some action.
Now, San Antonio’s got a rich history of wrasslin’, don’t you forget that. Ain’t no other city quite like it when it comes to the passion for the sport. We got folks here who’ve been watchin’ them wrestlers throw punches and slam each other for years. Heck, we even got our own little local promotion—River City Wrestling. They got their own thing goin’ on, and let me tell ya, it’s just as good as them big events y’all see on TV. But when it comes to WWE, now that’s a whole ‘nother level.
WWE is a big ol’ show, and if they ever decide to bring that Royal Rumble to San Antonio, well, let me tell you, that’ll be a big ol’ party. The thing is, it’s a bit of a shock that they ain’t held one here yet, but who knows? Maybe one day they’ll bring that big event right to our backyard. Just imagine, people from all over comin’ to San Antonio to see them wrestlers go at it. Ain’t no better place for it, with all the history and all the folks who know how to throw a good ol’ celebration.

Now, WWE’s been busy makin’ plans, and they done already announced tickets for the Royal Rumble 2025. That’s right, folks, you’ll have to head on up to Indianapolis to see that one, but don’t worry, you can still watch it all on Peacock. That’s right, you can sit in your own house, feet up, and see all them big matches without havin’ to leave your livin’ room. But I gotta tell ya, there’s nothin’ like the energy of a live crowd. The roar of folks cheerin’ and shoutin’—it’s somethin’ you gotta see for yourself.
And if you think WWE’s got all the action, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet. The very next day after the Royal Rumble, San Antonio’s own River City Wrestling is gonna host the RCW Rumble Royal. Now that’s somethin’ folks around here get real excited for. They might not have them big-name WWE stars, but the action’s just as fierce. You’ll see local talent doin’ their thing, and that’s somethin’ special.
WWE ain’t stoppin’ there either. They’re bringin’ back their Monday Night Raw show to San Antonio in March 2024. That’s right, folks, headin’ over to the Frost Bank Center to see them wrestlers on a Monday night. Now I’ve been to a couple of them shows before, and I tell ya, there ain’t nothin’ like the excitement of that crowd. It don’t matter who you’re rootin’ for, you’ll feel that energy in the air, and it’s like nothin’ else. If you ain’t been to one of them shows yet, you gotta make sure you don’t miss it this time ’round.
And, if you’re a fan of them Friday night SmackDowns, well, you’re in luck. They’re bringin’ that show to San Antonio’s very own ATT Center. I reckon folks are already talkin’ about it, and I can see why. Friday night SmackDown is a big deal too, with all them wrestlers doin’ their thing and entertainin’ the crowd. It don’t matter if you’re a new fan or an old one, you’ll be hootin’ and hollerin’ along with the rest of ’em.
So, if you’re in San Antonio, get ready for all this WWE action comin’ our way. It don’t matter if it’s the Royal Rumble, Monday Night Raw, or SmackDown, there’s a whole lotta wrasslin’ to look forward to. And if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ more local, well, River City Wrestling’s got ya covered. It’s a great time to be a fan in this here city, and I reckon the excitement’s just gettin’ started!
