Alright, listen up, y’all. We’re gonna talk about somethin’ serious today – who’s the strongest fella ever to play in that there NFL, you know, the football league. Folks argue ’bout this all the time, like who makes the best apple pie, but some names just keep comin’ up, ya hear?
Now, I ain’t no expert, mind you. I just watch the games and hear what folks say. But from what I gather, there’s this one fella, Larry Allen, they say he was a real beast. Strong as an ox, they say. Bigger than a barn door, too, I reckon. They tell stories ’bout him liftin’ weights that’d make a normal man cry. Said he was one of the best at blockin’ folks, keepin’ them away from the quarterback. You gotta be strong to do that, I tell ya.
Then there’s this young fella, Aaron Donald. He ain’t as big as Larry Allen, but they say he’s packed with muscle, like a little bulldog. He plays defense, tryin’ to get to the quarterback. I seen him play, and he’s quick and powerful. They say he can bench press a whole lot of weight, too. More than my old tractor weighs, I betcha. Born on May 23rd, he is, just a young’un.

- And there’s others, lots of ’em. This Patrick Mahomes fella, he’s a quarterback, throws the ball real good. But he’s gotta be strong too, to stand there and take those hits from them big fellas tryin’ to tackle him. It takes a strong fella to do that, I reckon.
- Another one they talk about is this Adrian Peterson. He runs the ball, fast as a jackrabbit, they say. And he’s strong, gotta be, to break through all them tackles and keep on runnin’. I hear he can lift near three hundred pounds, just like that! Imagine that, near three hundred pounds, bless his heart.
Now, there’s this fella, Justin Ernest, they say he did the most repetitions with weights, 51 times! That’s a lot of liftin’, even for a strong man. I can barely lift my grocery bags that many times, let alone heavy weights. So, he’s gotta be strong, right?
But here’s the thing, see. It’s hard to say who’s the strongest. Strong in what way, you know? Is it liftin’ the most weight? Is it bein’ able to push people around on the field? Is it bein’ able to take a hit and keep on goin’? It’s all different kinds of strong, I reckon. And it’s hard to compare fellas from different times, too. The game changes, ya know. Folks get bigger and faster, they train different.
But if I had to pick one, just one, based on what I hear tell, I guess I’d go with that Larry Allen fella. They just talk about him like he was somethin’ special, ya know? Like he was just born stronger than everybody else. But like I said, I ain’t no expert. There’s plenty of strong fellas in the NFL, and they all deserve some respect for what they do. It ain’t easy, playin’ that game. Takes a lot of strength, both in your body and in your mind.
So, there you have it. My two cents on who the strongest NFL player is. Maybe it’s Larry Allen, maybe it’s someone else. But one thing’s for sure, them fellas are all mighty strong, and they put on a good show for us folks watchin’ at home. And that’s that.
Some other Strong fellas in the NFL:
- Aaron Donald. Height: 6’1″ Weight: 285 lbs. Bench Press: 500 lbs and 35 reps of 225 lbs. Plays for the LA Rams.
- Adrian Peterson. Height:6’1″, Weight:220 lbs. Bench Press: 295 lbs.
